Anyone have their 666M Shadowline wheels refinished in the DMV area? Any recommendations? Seems that I had a pretty decent rock slap the side of my wheel and it chipped the face near the lugs.

Debating on..
  1. Living with it
  2. Refinishing it (may not match others)
  3. Buy another wheel (depends on refinishing cost)
  4. Bite the bullet and just go invest in the HREs.

I had one rim refinished by the dealer. There was about a 1/4 inch curb rash on it. While it still has a shadow appearance to it, it is shinier than the other wheels. Knowing what I know no, I would not have done it.

I think you should fix either way. I wouldn't want to have a busted set of 666m to backup the HREs. I don't know where you live…I am in the mid-Atlantic - My 666m used during the off season & my BBS go into storage until late March / early April.

What did the dealer charge you?

I'm in Herndon, VA. I'd say all my wheels are in 95% great condition but it's just this recent marking that has me tilted, like most when that one thing happens.

I was rear ended and it got scratched when it touched the tow truck side rail. It was really small. I think the dealer usually charges 150 or so. But again I'll say it wasn't worth it. I wish I left it alone. The slight color change bothers me.

Edit: just looked at your pic. I would leave it alone.

Fair. No matter who does it I don't think it match. Thanks for the feedback.

If you want it perfect, you need to buy a new wheel. A repair will be at best 95% like new.

I agree, I'm fine with 87%, have any shop recommendations?

I'm a perfectionist so I haven't found anyone that's been up to my standards. I've replaced 2 of my 666M wheels.

Check out JDWheelRepair on Instagram. He is located in Gaithersburg. I've known a few people that went there and were happy with it.

Def don't go to WheelDingKing tho, I took my previous car there and they messed my wheels up.
