I think E9X is the softest looking M3 even when compared to its predecessors and successors. Nothing wrong with that, I think the bangle 3 series was well put together and didn't need many hard lines. F8X just very hard by design (that's what she said). G8X is kind of a weird mashup of hard and soft, like the front, side, and rear were designed by different people. But I've come around in the sense that I can stomach it now in darker colors. It would be enough to make me forget that I'm driving the quasimodo of cars. This with a mandatory vorsteiner / GT3 style grille would *maybe* work for me. Would I do it? Well as this group will see in the near future I've already doubled down on F8X so no I wouldn't. Side note: this build would cost $95k

Edit: and as I reread my post and look at the render… if I look for the details I keep finding the things I hate about the car. I get why Robert from Apex is so conflicted. It's best viewed at a glance for me lol
My main gripe(s) with the G8X were/are it's size (…I already felt like the F8X was a really long car) and all of the gloss black parts. The latter is an easy fix and I had planned to drive straight from the dealership to the body shop to have those parts painted. Just having the gloss black parts painted body-color does so much for the visual impact of the car. I also wish BMW had done 20"/21" staggered wheels on such a massive car and did better with the mirror design. None of those things were deal breakers, but they were things I didn't care for.

The 1000M M-performance wheels are a 20"-21" combo and they are shod with even wider 285/30R20 front and 295/25R21 tires, and it is true that is better balances the car.
