I've asked for details on the bulletin and will get back to you ASAP. That said, my issue was slightly different. I'd have CarPlay up when shutting down and when I started the car, it wouldn't save that setting and would instead start with the main media menu. It would *play* CarPlay, it just didn't show up on the screen.
I commented on this thread because my guess is that it's the same issue (i.e., failure to retain last used media setting screen when restarting). I'll let you know what I find out. |

So apparently I misunderstood, it wasn’t a bulletin. They said that the fix was “in the ISTA instructions found in the BMW test plan for the condition due to a fault code set for the headunit.” So apparently my iDrive had a fault code reported and they followed the instructions for the issue. They also updated me to the newest istep, which is probably what fixed it.
