SurfSUP Softrack on CF Roof

I stand up paddle surf and usually take my wife's Q7 to the beach, but I was at my friends earlier today when he surprised me with a new SUP as a present!

Not having my wife's Q7 with a hard rack, I went to the local surf shop and bought a soft rack and it worked out pretty well on my F80. Maybe now I can take my F80 to the AM surf instead of coordinating with my wife for her car!

I was worried it would damage the CF roof, but it worked out great.

Yay.

Enjoy the pictures!

Looks good but I urge you to have mercy on your clearcoat with some masking tape under the straps and cushion...

Ah thanks for the tip. Iím probably not gonna take my car out to the beach a lot but should I start, i was thinking of installing like a clear vinyl to the top?

Maybe that would help.

As stated, will definitely damage the roof and pillars the way it's secured.

^^ ZERO issues and I have a much heavier skibox on it.

It doesn't leave any marks at all on the CF roof. Your current setup will definitely cause marks on both your cf roof as well as your pillars.
