Will the xenon even be still available for MY2016 ?

In the pre-LCI F30/80, the trim on the doors was a mate colour matching the leather contrary to the trim highlight on the dash (black chrome, chrome, etc...)

In the F32/82, that same dash trim highlight continued onto the doors. I am guessing that is what is being done to the F30/80 LCI.

See the pre-LCI pictures below, looking at the trim highlight above the leather where the ambiance lighting resides. On the M3, it is mate black while in the M4, it is black chrome (the same as on the dash). If you look at the third and fourth pictures from the F30 LCI, you'll see the trim highlight carries over onto the door

Of course if the comp. pack is announced for the 2016s it changes things dramatically should it come with stunning wheels, upgraded suspension, steering improvements and exhaust upgrades but this lci is mildly disappointing if you like me always look for significant improvements to be available vs. what I currently own.

Ok thanks. I follow what you're saying but still don't see that in the pics. I guess I would have to walk out to my car to have that "ah ha!" moment. IIRC there's a solid matte-finish strip across my door, whereas I have CF trim surrounded my the black chrome on the dash. Sounds like that strip in the door above the leather would now also be in a black-chrome, if I'm reading what you're saying correctly.

Man, this stuff is comical...honestly. There are more 2015 owners in any "LCI" thread, than there are perspective buyers... All here seemingly to validate their purchase of a 2015. LMAO

Nobody really cares...great, you win...against who? Your own rational side who wanted you to wait for a 16? lol...

We don't even have all the information about 16's yet, according to Jason. MSRP, options, packaging of options, new colors...or not.

You guys claim to be "enjoying your cars for the past 4, 5, 6 months"...all i see is a bunch of dudes wasting time on a forum trolling 2016 LCI threads.

2016 M4 changes

So, will these changes also apply to the 2016 M4, or only the M3?

Any idea when ordering for the 2016's will open up?

Any news on colors for the 2016 M4, if they don't follow the M3 that is?

~bp

This has been discussed at length. M4 goes unchanged. M4 LCI will only happen with the 4-series LCI.

Good call. So the chrome may be in the series cars but the M will be black chrome?

I guess it will depend which trim you select.

IIRC, black chrome trim highlights come with the CF and Aluminum Blade trims. Chrome trim highlights come with the various wood trims (Piano black, Red Brown Sycamore, White Ash).

I think you're only telling half the story. There have been just as many posts bashing 2015 owners for being "beta testers" and "jumping the gun". Also how much smarter waiting for 2016 is because first year models are basically exploding (my own gross exaggeration for effect) upon starting due to all the bugs.

It's silly on both sides and you would think grown adults who can afford these cars would be able to either enjoy what they have and be happy for those getting newer models and vice versa. Instead, many members are acting like children.

Maybe so although i think those threads were much less prevalent...i guess i wouldn't know b/c i didn't participate in those threads. I almost bought a 15 a few times. The main draw of a 16 for me was due to plans to be in Greece in August and trying to coordinate an ED for the same trip only made perfect sense and having BMW cover the travel costs, which i was already planning to incur.

Agreed, both sides are silly...and the maturity level is rather low.

this thread is basically like a mad lib that pretty much goes like this:

THE NEW LCI IS (adjective)

I'm so happy with my (noun)

I can't stand the (noun)

I made the right decision cause I (adverb)
