I'm ok with most everything that the package consists of, along with pricing, but I just cant' get over the wheels. For one, I'm not a fan of the styling at all, but if they were a performance advantage, I could get over the looks. I know they upsize the tire widths, but not the wheels. I wish they would of offer them is 9.5J X 19 front and 10.5J X 19 rear with 265 and 285 tires width.

I thought in ETK the wheels were 20X9.5 front and 20X10.5 rear, can someone confirm?

I remember them saying that as well. No idea which one is right though.

I would have ordered this package, no doubt. A lot goes into these comp. packages (look at how significant the m5/m6 comp pkg was). I like how it says they reconfigured the diff and dsc system, hoping this means the power gets put down better and is more manageable.

Nontheless, can't wait to see reviews and testing of the comp pkg f80!

This isn't the MPE. It is the sports exhaust which as they state in the release is "cosmetic".
It also says it has a different sound in the release....so not entirely cosmetic though I would suspect it isn't the same as MPE

As per history with the e92, probably not. No one was ever able to port the zcp damper software to the non-comp cars. But the aftermarket was able to deliver some stuff, like the GTS dct software.

I wonder if the US GTS seats with the alcantara will be available for retrofitting?

The E9x never got this software retrofit option, I assumed because ZCP included different springs which might have been responsible for part of the retuning, and it looks like this one is getting springs, shocks, and bars, so retrofitting the exact new software onto a car without the complementary hardware might actually be worse.

Agreed. Between the seats, this and the suspension upgrades, I think those are the most significant upgrades.

That's actually not entirely true. There was one guy that retrofited absolutely everything ZCP into his non ZCP car. Software and hardware.

Most people don't go that route because it's cheaper to just go aftermarket, but he absolutely wanted to stay OEM. Couldn't even tell you which thread that was.

Well this is much better than the E9x and MUCH better than what had been rumored in that recent thread. Still a pretty stiff price, but at least it's more competition-oriented than had been rumored -- and no stereo upgrade nonsense.

Still not sure about that wheel design or 20s on an M3/4 in general, but hopefully they allow buyers to stick to other wheels as they did on the M5/6. I'm also curious what these wheels weigh. And 3 OEM exhausts also seems a bit unnecessary, but all in all this seems a very solid offering. I'd order it if I were buying this car even though I skipped it on my E92 -- as long as the wheels could be skipped.

The only thing I wish they'd included here based on my time in an M4 is improved steering. The M5/6 got it even as a change to standard cars after a certain production month and then I think it was even more different for the Comp Pack, and I think the M3/4 could use some improvements here too.

Like it all except the wheels. Should include MPE though.

Solid.. Package and Price..

In reality ( Minus $2200( Rims/Adaptive)) its only a $3300 package .. It would be safe to say the enhancements are well within $3,300 USD and it has value. ( Never mind if you can EU invoice it)
Its unlikely the aftermarket options will be competitive with this, from the standpoint of warranty/ totally of the cohesiveness of the parts.

We just need to get it on the dyno and see if there is a 25hp increase over the known dyno status. According to Dinan the car makes 484Hp/446ft-lbs and the their Diantronics Kit ($2,500 w 3yr Warranty)only adds 42HP to that (total of 516). However according to Car & Driver the power enhancements where nill. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...ed-test-review

Biggest issues are the ability to put down, appear to have been address.

Hopefully Chris Harris gets ones fast for review.

I got 17 more months left on my current F80... Comp Pack here I come.. I was researching winter tires for the 19/20s stock rims.. looks like we will have options...wait those are different sizes??? 20s all around?

http://www.dinancars.com/product/d44...ries&mid=1178/

Repeat?? Version 2.0 F8X??

Yea, sorry I should've clarified. I'm sure the cost of doing so was probably much higher than buying a high end set of Ohlins haha

Never know they might allow you to pick the rims, just like in the M5/M6s you can do the Comp Pack or the normal rim upgrade...

e9x did get retuned software. It's stated differently. But along with the zcp springs/dampers on the e9x, there was a software component that needed to be brought along as well. Hence why it was so difficult to retrofit the kit onto non-zcp cars.

I wouldn't be remotely surprised if they did that. I'd still go for the Satan wheels though

I meant the E9x never got the option to retrofit ZCP EDC software to non-ZCP cars.

It's interesting how the car is as fast 0-60 as the m4 gts..with 56 less hp and less tq. Interesting all around package, I think it's well worth the value. Again, wish I could have ordered it.

Nice, but I would still do my own upgrades. For $5k, it's not a bad deal though.

I can only assume the EDC has been recalibrated based on the new suspension hardware, so it would be pointless to do that software change on a non CP car.

His nickname here is aajami, and yeah it was quite an adventure. I don't know if he got all the right software though. But he also did a full AP2 retrofit onto his AP1 S2000 except for the engine, so he's no stranger to crazy projects like that.
