Wow, it includes a lot more then I thought it would. The price isn't bad either.

I wonder if you can get the seats in cloth. That would be a deal breaker for me if you couldn't. But taking this package with cloth seats and selling the 20" wheels would be a very attractive combination.

This isn't the MPE. It is the sports exhaust which as they state in the release is "cosmetic".
Forget it then. Thanks for clarifying.

No indication of that in the details, and the Comp Packages of the current M5/6 and both the E9x and E46 M3 were available with either 6MT or SMG/DCT, so I would expect the same to be true here.

Wheels wheels wheels. I don't recall BMW not allowing you to change a set of wheels in any package for any series in the past. I'm sure you can change it.

In the end, I'm just happy the speculation is finally over and the result is better. Definitely interested if the changes let the car put its power down better and safer. Do want to read/see the reviews. Cool seats, not sure about the seat belts. I'm definitely on side of chrome bits on the standard car though. Where I order this package I would actually put back the chrome =\

Where do you see that? The only quoted 0-60 times for the DCT, but that's because those numbers are lower, and they even said optional M-DCT in the release.

Haha, never mind. Just re-read and saw the word "optional" in front of DCT. My bad, sorry!

The M5/6 Competition Package allowed you to stick with the regular upgraded wheels rather than the Competition wheels, but that's been the only one to do so.

A lot of change for the money. Load of GTS carryovers, and that car is a laughable $140k. $5500 is an absolute bargain since you don't need to spec suspension or wheels.

Which brings me to the point - ugliest wheels ever. I have no idea what the designer was thinking, was really hopping to see an evolution from the e46/e92 y-spoke wheels.

Asians are going to "love" that hp number too lol...

You know, with China being such an important market to automakers these days, I really wonder if that hp number wasn't a coincidence.... It probably is, though.

Wheels look cheesy to me. Just not a flattering design, some concavity would help.

The only part number that changed is the muffler, so I'm not too sure of that.

When I looked at the seats in the first picture, I was like "I'm digging these", then looking at the second pic below, I'm like "hell no". And don't get me started on those wheels.

Downpipe, tune, new m performance wheel, new m performance Coilovers, and you got yourself a better looking and more potent competition package for less money, most likely.

Just my 2 cents

They gave times for the 6MT also:
"The sprint time for models with the standard 6-speed manual transmission is likewise 0.1 seconds faster in all cases than without the package."

I think it's a solid package. The seats don't look that great, especially in leather, and I like the performance upgrades.

BUT, those wheels. W...T...F...

If you choose the comp package and opt for the standard wheels, do they still charge full price?

Also, wouldn't substituting the wheels affect the driving dynamics that were balanced with those abominations in mind?

This isn't the MPE. It is the sports exhaust which as they state in the release is "cosmetic".
It also says it has a different sound in the release....so not entirely cosmetic though I would suspect it isn't the same as MPE
I'm pretty sure sound doesn't affect performance.

Therefore, it is cosmetic.

With the black grilles and gills included, IND's going to lose half its sales next year. And everyone who gets it will get the wheels, so everyone will know that they have an M3/4 "ZCP". Maybe fill in the "Drives:" with F8X 2016.25.
