I think you can code the car to unlock all doors when you turn off the engine.

One that doesn't get mentioned that much and yes it's irksville.

I don't like that it turns on the Dr. Jekyll mode in me!

I think the rattles/creaks only. Maybe the steering I don't love either, it's firm but doesn't have that much feel.

I loved everything about my previous F80's except the SOUND. No matter what exhaust set up I tried it just sounded blah.

Not really a hate but more of a top 2 dislikes.... Seats and Rev matching. My SO leather gets way too hot, wish I had either Comp seats or Carbon Structure cloth. Rev matching. Sometimes I'll select Sport Plus after being in efficient or Sport for a while and let the clutch out and end up jerking the car. I wish it was a straight foward gearbox without any of that assitance.

The ride should be way better and it's always fighting for traction unless the tires are brand new. Other than that, I absolutely love everything about the car. The exhaust sound sucks but something I can live with.

Love the car only a few gripes

I love my 2018 F80. It's a great car to play with and upgrade. With a Remus exhaust and Injen cold air intake I'm pleased with the performance and the glorious sound. Just starting to mod it now.
My gripes are small but seeing my wife's Audi I wish the front, rear and top view camera was the same on my car. I like the volume control knob on the Audi beyond the one that's on the steering wheel. I don't like the volume control on the radio itself. We need a real front camera to protect those carbon front lips.

That's it. Someone complained the F80 rear is to wide and bulbous...No Way! I bought it specifically due to the way the rear looks and those wide fenders. It truly makes the F80 a standout sedan. Not sure it will be as aggressively proportioned in the upcoming G80 M3.

Going DCT second time around. Nowhere near as good as the 6MT on this platform.

Exactly, that was a blasphemous comment. Stick to a reg 3 series then.

Wish you could get ventilated seats.
In 3 years I've never used the heated seats once.

Agreed but would add they are offer you different aspects of driving enjoyment - the F82 is scapel sharp and says if you get in "be engaged" - love it for that.

...and to OP perhaps the fact I felt compelled to alter the suspension to make it perfect (for me) aesthetically (fender gaps - significant) and dynamically (an improvement with MP HAS) on a competition spec car....

Yea, still not understanding what you mean by that. Just drive the DCT like it's a manual that does the pedal work for you. Brake to a stop, tap the accelerator to go. It really isn't more difficult than that.

Also, in theory, no completely stopped car should "move forward" simply by letting off the brake (assuming you aren't on a hill). Why exactly would you expect lifting off the brake to cause onset of forward motion of the car?

The car's interior rattles enough to annoy you in daily driving.

The leather seems unnecessarily fragile (1000 miles in and already have a nick on the front of the drivers seat pad, though could be from the dealer since I never wear jeans or anything with zippers/rivets). The feel and look is fantastic, but the leather is very thin.

The comp pack suspension is pretty harsh in comfort mode. Dynamic adjustments don't seem to do much with this car. This is somehow a controversial thing to post on this forum. I get it, your track car Elise is rougher and the M3/M4 is like a pillow, but if you drive in the city or anywhere with subpar roads, anyone who rides in the car will comment on the harshness of the ride (for a non-supercar). As the driver you will likely not mind, but this can get grating as a passenger.

Other than those relatively minor gripes, it is a completely ace vehicle. The engine and transmission are spectaculat, and it sounds great imo. I think this design will age really well. It feels special to drive, yet there are enough owners/large enough community to make sure there are DIYs, parts, and aftermarket solutions to nearly any problem you may encounter. Wouldn't avoid this car even given the above gripes.
I have a 2020 M4 and I have absolutely zero rattles or sounds....you might want to get that checked out cuz that would be very annoying indeed

agree with the rev match confusion, it really should be its own separate button. It would be nice to have my sport+ mode with rev match for the fastest 'sector time' on a backroad... and efficient/sport mode with rev match off to practice heel-toe in normal traffic.

All regular automatic transmission cars creep forward without touching the accelerator pedal when you release the brake pedal. That is universal on every traditional torque converter automatic transmission equipped car.

He must referred to the F8x, since I can't imagine he hasn't driven a torque converter car before.

Expecting? where did I said I expect it to?

In fact I know exactly why it would not creeping forward.

My wife's X5 has ventilated seats and rear door comfort access. It's annoying that it's not even an option for the F8X.

The OEM trunk lip is pathetic.
