My gripes are small but seeing my wife's Audi I wish the front, rear and top view camera was the same on my car. I like the volume control knob on the Audi beyond the one that's on the steering wheel. I don't like the volume control on the radio itself. We need a real front camera to protect those carbon front lips.

That's it. Someone complained the F80 rear is to wide and bulbous...No Way! I bought it specifically due to the way the rear looks and those wide fenders. It truly makes the F80 a standout sedan. Not sure it will be as aggressively proportioned in the upcoming G80 M3.

Super clean ride man. If you don't mind me asking what rear diffuser is that?

Overall I love my '15 M4 and have no huge issues. Some small niggles:
  • Hard to get the power down in many conditions
  • As another mentioned, not being able to remove front lower grilles to get the leaves and stuff out.
  • Rear suspension seems to self-steer when shifting under power. Dealer says RTABs are fine. Might need to get Dinan rear link kit - hmm, it's $100 off right now!
  • Stock exhaust - poor sound and is highly visible from rear - both solved with Dinan muffler.

Hate is far too strong a word. Ride should be better, steering feel should be better, traction on less than brand new tires, rattles galore

Rattles and creaks are a bit obnoxious for a vehicle at this price point. I get that it's a track focused car...but 99.9% of us drive them on the road...not the Nurburgring.

Squeaky brakes when reversing and sometimes normal operation. Brake pads are were recently changed out as well.

There are flaws for sure, but honestly, none are significant. I love my car every time I drive it. I never think about the things I don’t like because there is so much I do like.

this is exactly why the M5 got that garbage ZF automatic instead of the M-DCT. People are mad about having to feel the clutches slip at low speed in 1st gear.

M4 comp here. I don't like the EDC-suspension and bad feel of the rearend. The diff is too aggressive too. The car is unpredictable at the limit which makes you slower when driving fast. Öhlins coilovers and GTS-flash on the way!

I disagree with you on pretty much everything you said between the M4 and M3.

I think the rattles/creaks only. Maybe the steering I don't love either, it's firm but doesn't have that much feel.
Yes I know the feeling sometime the car loves to race the engine when I'm at a full stop. Plan to take the car in in the spring service .. let them diagnose what the issue is, it happens to me twice already.

The car's interior rattles enough to annoy you in daily driving.

The leather seems unnecessarily fragile (1000 miles in and already have a nick on the front of the drivers seat pad, though could be from the dealer since I never wear jeans or anything with zippers/rivets). The feel and look is fantastic, but the leather is very thin.

The comp pack suspension is pretty harsh in comfort mode. Dynamic adjustments don't seem to do much with this car. This is somehow a controversial thing to post on this forum. I get it, your track car Elise is rougher and the M3/M4 is like a pillow, but if you drive in the city or anywhere with subpar roads, anyone who rides in the car will comment on the harshness of the ride (for a non-supercar). As the driver you will likely not mind, but this can get grating as a passenger.

Other than those relatively minor gripes, it is a completely ace vehicle. The engine and transmission are spectaculat, and it sounds great imo. I think this design will age really well. It feels special to drive, yet there are enough owners/large enough community to make sure there are DIYs, parts, and aftermarket solutions to nearly any problem you may encounter. Wouldn't avoid this car even given the above gripes.

Give it some time to settle lol...if you don't hear anything perhaps you don't want to or have the stereo up too loud.

I wish it turned sharper. It seems like the turning radius is large. Makes it hard to park, like parking a truck

There is a service bulletin for the issue. I'd take it to the dealer for them to apply Teflon tape to the windows.

Probably my idiot family. I just came around the first time with my new car and they said the muffler must be broken and I should take it back to the dealer. They were surprised to learn I in fact paid for M Performance Exhaust to sound that way

Yet, this is the F8x forum, which discusses a vehicle platform that doesn't have a traditional torque converter automatic transmission. Hence, my lack of understanding when it comes to the idea that the F8x DCT would behave like an automatic.

Dumb cold start and too much road noise. Great car otherwise.
