I picked up my car with 502 miles on the odo from Arkansas and drove it back to Florida 800 miles in the same day. Loved the drive and got to know the car. I wanted to evaluate it in person and make sure it was brand new and not a flood car or something fishy. Car was perfect and brand new just as advertised. I did get a chipped windshield and one little microscopic chip on the front bumper driving it back. I even spent 1.5 hours taping the front with painters tape and duct tape on top but it started raining and it all started coming off so I pulled over and took it off. I had to pay $100 bucks to get the windshield chip repaired and I ended up putting a full front PPF and rocker panels and rear quarter panels done too. The deal was better than anything I could find in Florida. I wanted a new car for a used car price and I got it. 96k sticker.

My buddy had the front end of his brand new Porsche Macan GT-S wrapped in blue painters tape. Easy on and off. Until he got PPF You'll run into a lot of radar down that way. I'm using V-1 Check weather I picked up my car in November had a set of new DWS 06 installed Was perfect handles light snow just fine |

Anyway...I've purchased pretty much every car out of state and have driven it back home the last 12-15 years. Fun road trips.

I bought my first M3 (2005 E46) over the phone in NYC. I took the train to Manhattan and drove it back to Maryland. Just last weekend I bought a 2018 in New Hampshire and drove it back in 8 1/2 hours stopping for gas and a sandwich. It's a great way to get to know your car, even better if you can take some extra time during the drive.

If you are driving any tollways plan on the front end getting chipped up...potentially cracked glass as well. I also ride motorcycles and am still blown away by how much debris is thrown up from the vehicles in front of me.

Just flew to Houston last Friday to pick mine up and drive it back to Tampa, Florida.... With my 4 month old and my wife. Spent the night in Baton Rouge, but otherwise just stopped to feed. Amazing trip, just be sure to use Waze on the drive to watch for road hazards, including speed traps.

Easy drive, done many times. Map says its 100% downhill. Good radar detector (except Virginia, it illegal). If you don't get clear bra, at least heavy was up front. A friend of mine and I drove round trip from South Florida to Georgia (12 hours) to trade his For Escape for a BMW 135i. Was a piece of cake.
