Folding Mirrors Coding F83 (M4 Convertible)

Hi all,

My first post and first M after having a number of 911s. Love the M4 and nice to have some creature comforts that were lacking in my previous cars.

I need someones help with the coding.

I used Bimmercode on iphone to code a few bits and in particular was looking to get my mirror to fold/unfold on locking/unlocking.

My car does not have comfort access BTW.

I set 'automatic fold/unfold' and also made sure all the convenient opening settings were active. I tried to activate the mirrors and even kept the key fob button pressed to see if that would have any effect. NONE.

I am going to try coding in expert mode using Almaretto's coding however have noticed during my reading that as my car is a convertible i may have problems using the roof once coded......

This was last year and I cannot seem to find any resolution to this. One work around seems to be that i have to manually lower all four windows before using the roof switch which just seems daft.

This is the coding I plan to use:

FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORTOEFFNUNG_FB aktiv
FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB aktiv
FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA aktiv
FEM_BODY 3110 ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_BEI_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN aktiv
FEM_BODY 3110 ASP_AUSKLAPPEN_NACH_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN aktiv

+ If you want to decrease initiation delay

FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN werte = 0F

Then for the roof:

FEM BODY 3053 FH CABRIO VERDECK MODULE. Change aktiv to NICHT AKTIV.

Was reading this thread:

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...=826011&page=4

Is there any one that has successfully done this and if so can you kindly share the coding.

Thanks.

expert mode is too risky if you don't know what your doing.. stay in regular mode and follow the YouTube videos. I have not coded my f83 yet either.

in bimmercode, i thought folding mirrors was available in the non-expert section of the app? i enabled mine and don't recall messing with expert mode.

I just tried using e-sys over an enet cable to code this on my 2020 F83. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the mirror to fold, with fob or CA. The only way to fold/unfold is to use the button on the door.

What I coded was:
FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORTOEFFNUNG_FB aktiv (mine already aktiv)
FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB aktiv
FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA aktiv
FEM_BODY 3110 ASP_BEIKLAPPEN aktiv (mine already aktiv)
FEM_BODY 3110 ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_BEI_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN aktiv
FEM_BODY 3110 ASP_AUSKLAPPEN_NACH_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN aktiv

I didn't code the roof FEM BODY 3053 FH CABRIO VERDECK MODULE since I didn't want to lose the roof control.

If you have an LCI model, bimmercode is worthless... Many of the functions do not work on LCI. I found out the hard way and had to have Apple Pay get involved and get my money back.

How can you tell if you have a LCI model? My F83 has a build date of 9/2017 and it's a 2018. Where can u find a tag or information on this LCI model information?

Led headlights and updated tail lights. The guy at bimmercode told me LCI models have several features that do not work. Since trying to meddle with their app, my rearview mirror no longer angles down when in reverse. All I did was try to adjust angel eye brightness with headlights on, nothing else. Made the whole car go haywire and throw codes then clear themselves out. Buyer beware. My service advisor asked me about the codes when I took it in for an oil change before I even sat down...

Simple answer, don't touch it. People who own tuner shops tell you differently. Take a look at the BM3 posts lately with cars going haywire. Nothing beats oem.
If M3/4 isn't enough, go 911.
