Just wanted to put a plug in for tommy l garage's mud flaps. Just got them on. Install took 3 minutes. Hesitated as was not sure about the aesthetic but now that they on I actually like the way they look. Body lines match on the wheel well and they are sleek.
More importantly I just drove all over wet roads and the side of my car looks immaculate. For a daily like my f80 this is my best mod yet. Not just the dirt protection but rock chip shielding gonna be huge. Big fan of these. (FYI side of car was dirty before I put em on) |

great mod if you daily drive.
I just can't get over it giving the M3 an STi / Subaru vibe. |

I agree. It blends very well with aggressive fitments and conceals itself in pictures. My car stays cleaner for significantly longer than it used to before the front flaps.

Great easy mod that blends in to tire in most pics. This is shown on my car with stock suspension, 10mm spacers and PS4S tires in ZCP sizes. Also, Tommy is a great, trustworthy enthusiast DIY vendor.

I can echo how much these help. I just have the fronts but it's impressive how much crap they stop from getting thrown at the car. Pretty solid investment, and way cheaper than PPF.
I have a mineral white car but it's an 18 with the black comp wheels and a lot of carbon fiber so the flaps kind of blend in. Most people don't even notice them.

What's the pros/cons doing one over the other. I liked the short ones as they blended in more

I bought them but havent gotten around to installing them yet, couple of questions:
1. How did you pop out the stock 2 rivets? 2. Did you drill the 3rd hole? 3. Anyone take these off for the summer? if so, can you reuse the rivets provided? |

I just ordered a set the other day, can't wait to try them out in the spring...I went short since mine is a summer only car, just really want to stop rock chips along the side of the car.

2. The screw just goes right into the plastic wheel liner. I drilled a guide hole but probably not even needed to be honest. Make sure to watch the video prior to installation. Took only a few minutes total for both sides and I'm not all that handy. 3. I think the rivets are single use. Honestly the rock chip shielding is important I wouldn't even take em off in summer. I agree long is better. More protection. They aren't obtrusive or distracting like I was worried I thought they may be. Blends right in to lines of the car. |
