Yes correct, but placing it there overtakes the hassle of having to reach for it all far back and with a watch it makes it even harder!

What about the top left side of your seat, doesn't the seat belt rub there? I guess depends on your position, mine rubs and leaves a small black mark which I routinely clean...

Ah understood. I kind of wish it was more like an E46 coupe where the lift handle to fold the seat forward was also the "hook" that the seatbelt catches on to.

Interesting. I've never seen that in my F82. That's not an F83 right?

It's on all F82s. It is in the circled area.

The solution is obvious ... buy an f83.

Love this feature too. Plus, you get to say your car doesn't have it to keep weight down. Helps hit the apex at the roundabouts.

That's what I told my best friend when he asked, anyway.

My seating position doesn't cause that, but if it did I'd routinely clean it like you do.

Anyone retrofitted the arms from an F32? I don't see the difference in seat shape being an issue.

Don't try. Only works 20% of the time. I have an f32 with m4 seats and stock seatbelt arms and they only work in certain seat positions. Hopefully this helps someone

I love those things in my e92. They work 99% of the time. It also impresses new passengers every time. It annoys me that BMW didn't put it in the M4. I'm sure they could have worked something out to make it compatible with the seats. Just putting a cover over it looks so cheap and unfinished.

argh, I was not blessed with height so those seat belts sit back pretty far. I wish there was a way that you can keep the seat belt hooked on the tab. I keep on having to remind myself every time to hook it there before getting into the car so I don't strain a muscle reaching back for the seat belt. Does anyone else find this irritating (or found a better solution)

I always grab the seat belt from down low - not up high. Grab the belt near the floor and pull it up. Works well for me. You have to do it with the door open.

Yeah, the E92 was sometimes a PITA...so I disabled mine, and found someone had made a plastic clip that went on the headrest arms and you could put the seat belt through and it held it pretty well. Thus, when you got in/out, seatbelt was right there. Surprised somebody hasn't made a good one you can add that is classy and maybe carbon fiber and have a little slit to put the belt through and hold it.

Lol this thread. I just got a 2015 M4. Never had I had to struggle so hard to grab the seatbelt. And I have the seat leaned back pretty far as well.

Any solutions? Like.. besides growing a longer arm?
