Careless ***** opening doors

Went out to my car this morning to find some fool has happened their door on mine and chipped my drivers door paint!

This now goes well with the dent I got the other week on the rear quarter too.

Why can't people just be bloody careful, so frustrating!!

Need to take two of my cars to my buddy that does dent less car repair...

Sad part is, I go out of my way to park at the end of the lot, and these a-holes still have the ability to find me and do this.

Fortunately, mine are not chipped, so it's just $$$ to have him fix.

I have found that people intentionally park their cars next to mine if I park in the way back. Only time I do not care is if they back theirs in and its a decent car. When they pull their shit box in right next to mine is a diff story.

That is painful. Sorry to see that happen. Unfortunately, I find this inevitable like death and taxes. This is despite taking all measures like parking away, avoiding busy times when going to the grocery store, malls.

Yes, there are ppl that just don't care. Whenever I parked outside, I always try my best to park away from the crowd.

Touch up paint looks just as bad if not worsen less you wet sand it and polish it. And even then you can still notice it.

Dr color chip would probably work better as it's thinner. You can try layering it and clean off the excess.

PDR if there is a dent and BMW touch up paint with clear coat applicator

As much as that sucks, with no paint chipping, paintless dent repair will make that go away. The exact same dent happened to me and it was perfect $250 Cdn later. Find someone who specializes /knows BMW since different door construction can interfere with the repair

Mine is to find a corner spot and park as close to the curb as possible so when people swing their doors open it can't reach your car

I try to park beside cars of equal value or greater after getting dinged a few times. Haven't fixed the dings for about a year now, huge eye sore when I see it but I mentally avoid looking at it now.

I used to care a lot about this. Now? Not so much.
I still park as far away from people as possible, but since PDR is so easy and affordable it’s easier to not care. You’ll live longer!

Same thing happened to me this week in the office parking lot. I park as far away as physically possible, and someone still managed to hit the edge of my rear bumper.

Yeah..I park at far ends of lots to primarily avoid other people parking next to me. Added bonus, at like grocery stores/costco, to avoid the pulsating unwashed masses of humanity waiting/craming/fighting over the "close" spots. No thanks. That has become the bigger reason for me to park far away. Also need to be mindful of any slope, and where a random shopping car might build up speed and ram into you. Also. ive seen people literally push a cart and rest it up against someone elses car. I think I hate people. lol
