Bluetooth Connected but not available as source

I have a 2015 M3 and my Bluetooth has been completely fine up until now.

It's connecting to my phone and showing it's connected in the bluetooth settings for calling and music but whenever I go to choose bluetooth as a source it says that no bluetooth device is connected. It shows it's connected on my phone and to the car but still doesn't let me choose it as a source and work.

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting my phone and still no luck. Wondering if anyone has experienced this before and has a solution. Thanks!
