TSB for update 5 bolts upper strut mount

I heard today that there is a TSB to update from 3 to 5 bolts the upper strut mount. I am getting camber plate which is 5 bolts.
After searching could not find TSB.
Can somebody share?
thank you!

Not sure I follow. Are you saying that BMW is going to retrofit all 3 bolt to 5 bolt?

That would involve some drilling and suspension plate hardware. What would be the reason?

False, early F82 had 3-bolt towers also.

Not aware of any TSB, but BMW made the switch from 3-bolt to 5-bolt on M3/M4 in 1/15+ production.

Does this mean that for suspension components, I have to specify my cars build date to get the correct system / parts?

For front towers, yes.

We ask all the needed questions when ordering from us to make sure you get the correct parts.

My car was produced in 2014. I plan to install camber plate and was told all F82 had 5 holes so it wont be an issue getting camber with 5 bolts. Seems like it could not be the case. I also realized the strut aluminum brace would have additional holes.

There may be a case or two in which it can swing one way or the other if your production close to the cutoff date.

Most likely you'll need 3-bolt but verify under the hood to be 100% sure.

Are there camber plates that fit 3 bolt, or are all camber plates for this platform universal for 3 and 5 bolt?

There is not a "universal" camber plate that I'm aware of.

Companies like Ground Control (which we use) and most respected Coilover manufacturers will offer 3 or 5 bolt setups.
