Hey everyone! I bought a 2015 M4 recently and I did a lot of research beforehand on this forum, so thank you for your help. Traded in my GMC Sierra that decided to give me trouble as soon as I paid it off and it hit 100k miles.
I’ve always been a fan of anything that moves - raced motocross as a kid and been a car/motorcycle owner/enthusiast since I could drive. Here are some pics... No mods yet other than the black grille surround, but I have carbon fiber trim on the way. |

Congrats
Nice ride. Same colour as mine, different interior.
You'll absolutely love this car and it's a big leap up from the GMC. (I still drive my Trailblazer as my winter ride) I'd be interested in your choices for carbon aero mods. I bought my 2015 in Oct and while it's in storage for the winter months, I'm looking at a variety of splitter, spoiler and diffuser styles. Post some pics once you get these installed and I'll do the same. Cheers Speed Last edited by No.401_Speed; 12-04-2019 at 12:55 PM.. |

Thanks! I really enjoy driving this thing around - I don't think I've even listened to the radio as I've just used the German engineering as my radio these past few weeks... I'm looking to buy the CF DCT knob/surround here on the forum - got a PM out to a member right now. $550 new is pretty steep so I'm looking to go the used OEM route on that. The CF trim I ordered was from eBay - I know there are mixed emotions about eBay - but the seller had 100% feedback and tons of reviews. The problem is they make everything custom and ship it, so it's gonna take a while... Saved a few hundred bucks going that route though. After that I need to replace my seat badges due to cracking, but that should be the last interior mod I really need to do any time soon. I'll be looking at diffusers and splitters then. Last weekend I painted the muffler and tips black - easy mod to do that makes a big difference. https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...4#post25532554 |

F82 CF Trim
Roger tthat,
These parts are not cheap for sure, but the dramatic effect spoilers, diffusers and front lips have on the look of these cars is well worth the investment. When I first took delivery I spent my time doing the initial detailing. Original post is here https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1666659 Once the snow is gone, I'll pull the trigger and buy my aero parts. I think I might have located a company in Montreal that will save big on duty, shipping and taxes in getting these across the Canada/U.S. border. https://yomatocarbon.com/collections/bmw-m/f82-m4 Have you considered window tinting? CF parts on a black M4 with tinted windows is killer. Good luck. I'll watch for your pics and when I get mine done, I'll post my pics here as well. Cheers Speed |

Great post! Glad to see she's all shiny and squared away like she should be. Luckily, mine came out of the dealer in very great condition. The only things I need to fix are the seat badges and the DCT knob sticker as both are cracked. I just bought the CF DCT knob/trim, so that'll be one less thing I need to do. You're very right about the CF bits here and there making a huge difference - I think the diffuser will be the next bit I buy for the exterior. I have black iND side vents on the way which should help me get nearly all the way there on completely blacking out the car. |
