Can confirm, all US ED's are considered "Premium ED" at the Welt which means full tank of gas. I assume the gas is filled right before they bring your car up the glass elevator and it is not stored with more than 1/4 while waiting for you to get to Europe.

In '13 we did not then in '15 we did get a full tank.
My understanding is the U.S. dealers fought for it. They are able to get around because the majority of the cars in the garage are for European customers and their cars don't come full. So the aggregate amount of gasoline is still less than the regulations. |

BMW has a distinct competitive advantage with their ED program, but they've been watering it down lately. I think they need to improve the ED discounted price, include the safety vests, but everything else can go. All of the "gifts" are a mechanism to get you into the gift shop or some partner's shop (in the case of clock/watch thing). This is missing a massive opportunity: (1.) Put a motorsports / apparel mini store in the ED lounge (keep you special and out of the riff-raff) (2.) Put an individual studio in the ED lounge (3.) Make it possible to configure and order cars from the ED lounge (4.) Make the BMW tire rental program connect with a state-side (in whatever country) program so you can buy home-country winter wheels/tires and it comes with a free ED rental (5.) Same with performance parts - figure out how to ED with the normally port installed parts (6.) Build a fucking track so you could do ED PCD (7.) Do a culinary option with the restaurant and ...? I don't know what those foodies fuckers do, but do that (8.) Have a detailing clinic area where you teach people how to detail and then sell them the products and tools (9.) Sell tuning packages (10.) Have an insiders tour of ///M and some of the test mules, let people drive them The margins on all of that stuff would be massive and it could easily fund a steeper discount for everyone which would then expand the program which would then create evangelists. Net-net: BMW has a great (the best) ED program, but it's backsliding. Fewer gifts and more services is the answer to reinvigorate it.

I know this is off topic, by SiriusXM in service date is the ED Welt delivery date, NOT US re-delivery date. As SiriusXM is included in most BMW's this also includes access to steaming, so I assume that we all should obtain the in car radio serial number and call up SiriusXM to activate during shipment. I'm going to e-mail the SiriusXM BMW manager (if he's still there) to clarify this.
