Thanks BlackJet. The Macan is 20% Audi. Just like BMW's M cars are 20% normal series cars. Nice try though fanboi.
Congrats!

I am not a fan of high CG vehicles but P is as good as you can get in these vehicles. I am wondering what other vehicles have you considered, if any, in this price range?

I am VERY interested in the Macan S model for my wife, anyone know when they'll begin to ship/deliver and if they can be had for less than sticker?
The one I priced on-line to my liking shows a dealer cost of $56,286 and a sticker of just over $63k. Hoping to get for around $59-$60k if possible on a pre-order...

At the moment, you're lucky to get more then 1k off. It's not happening.

Thanks! I also looked at the Cayenne GTS, the Evoque, The SQ5, The Range Rover Sport, but none of them will have the poise this car has. The Macan is going to be the 'drivers' car in the segment. My M3 was awesome, but I'm excited for this car.

We are getting ready to order a SQ5 for the wife. We cross-shopped it with Macan S.

Macan is a nice car but was is not worth the extra $$$ difference between SQ5 as a daily for us.

Congrats on your new car.

Looks fantastic, well except for the wagon wheels. Great to see it has air suspension. Is it ride height adjustable?

I wouldnt go over 18" wheels in an SUV, but then again if you never plan to leave pavement, run over any curbs or potholes, I am sure those 20" wheels will look sweet. I, of course, would be interested in the diesel model.... But I couldnt afford either model right now, so I am fine with waiting for it to come.

When I build the two cars it is about a $2k difference ($58-$60k), Macan seems like the way to go for an extra $2k.

If you are paying MSRP for SQ5.....

Regardless they are both nice cars and I would not consider either for myself.

I've seen this statement a few times and have to ask, what exactly does this mean?

Is the car really for your wife?

Good question
If it were for my wife, she'd be getting the base engine. She doesn't even know the difference.

Burmeister destroys anything Ive ever heard in a car. I think the EPS in the M3 is good, the B&O I had in my S4 was much better but burmeister truly puts everything else in the car market to shame.

Whens your delivery Rev?

Burmester audio not Burmeister .
Expensive option...but supposedly worth it .

An Autotrader search now has the Macan in the Porsche lineup.
Several vehicles shown for sale but no pics yet.

Edit:
No Macans listed now. There were about 8 the other day...

I ordered it in Sapphire Blue Metallic, and the color isn't available for the Macan yet. They're not sure when it will be available.
