Lups, its OK. You're allowed to sell your car just because you feel like it. You don't have to make headlight excuses.

J/K I've heard you bitch enough about the lights since the first day you picked up the car that I know its a big enough problem for you on your night drives. I can see how the brightness of the LEDs could affect vision in the dark areas between the beams. Fortunately, I live in the most densely populated area in the country, so pitch dark roads are not a problem for me. Maybe next year, I'll take her a bit further out there, and I'll be bitching about them to you. But for now, I'll enjoy my super bright, blind the moose and everybody else, $2000 head lights.

Dude take a pic if you ever hit sixty with your civic even at daytime!

Wait till its wet and dark and then come back to this after a drive.

I know I've bored you to death with my rants but thank you for taking my concern seriously even when it really is not a problem for you. Lets start choosing paints later, shall we?

(I can't believe they demanded rent for the toys borrowed. Who raises these demons anyway?!)

Of course, avoiding hitting a moose has little to do with protecting the moose. It's protecting yourself. A moose will fuck you up like no other animal in North America. Their body goes over the hood and usually rips the entire cabin right off at the hood line. That can create health issues I'm told.

I love moose. Salt, pepper and garlic seasoning and two to three hours in 300 F on a vegetable bed in the oven is what I call perfection on a plate. I just prefer hunting them with a rifle instead of a car.

Judging by you Lups, I'm skeptical :P

But I know what you mean by the LEDs. I did get my Euro Spec Dazzle coded in but it isn't on 100% of the time the time I had it on at night. It does turn off quite frequently and I'm not 100% sure why actually, I will talk to Tom when I go back for my M-Hud update.

I don't think LED is a deal breaker, I mean we seen someone on the forums hit a Turkey. These are sports cars, not some SUV designed to run things over.

I have an idea. You should start a blog on the adventures of your model yellow car on your tabletop. You could pay your kids' exorbitant rent for their toys with proceeds from internet advertising.

Honestly Lups, 14,000 km in massive gulps of high speed driving. Four hours straight at night at plus 200 kmh can hardly be achieved on the autobahn, much less on the roads you were on.

Peter managed this odyssy with hardly a hiccup and then delivered you safely to your family again. Instead of bitching about Peter's headlights, you should give him a massive car hug.

Find a coding to your woes. Don't sell Pete. He's a good luck car.

Indeed these are sports cars, but in any car I prefer not to run over anything.

The title of the thread is dramatic I admit but the truth is, the light have provided me with the push needed to trade Peter in for an M3.

Meh, your prairie roads with good visibility at night is better than autobahns. I actually calculated the speed again this morning and I had taken off the petrol break so the average came down a lot. Still, insanely fast country Canada is.

Lol, ss/cloth, exec, xenons, 18" rims (if I find an aftermarket set) manual, stereo upgrade and cf roof.

I'll probably end up in an SO with a sunroof, dct, with Ss leather if the ordeal goes as well as it did the last time.

I understand the dangers of moose and highways. My parents live in Alaska, where many people are killed each year by hitting them. It's not like hitting a whitetail deer, these are huge dumb animals that will dart in front of your vehicle for no apparent reason. They have dark fur and their eyes do not have a reflective retina, so they can be nearly impossible to see. In the deep snow of winter they use the roads as their trails since it's easier for them than the deep snow.

It's so bad in Alaska my parents won't drive anything smaller than a full sized pickup truck in winter at night. Be safe out there in your small car, no matter what headlights you're using.

I truly thought I had seen big moose back home, but the Canadian versions are huge! Seeing one coming to the road really makes one reevaluate all matters of safety, and in my case also the speeds I did.

Going over a hundred for hours straight is easy until you see the first deer on the road. Going over 80 after the first moose seen turned out to scare the crap out of me. I lost all fate with the lights the second I realized the moose had a friend with it that I couldn't see because of the lights.

In two weeks 15 or so deer tried to become my hood ornaments. I saw on the road abt 4 moose, and one coyote, one fox, and one huge ass bird I have no name for.

I couldn't ask for a better road trip buddy than my car is, if the headlights were better.

Going really fast late at night after already driving for hours and hours... You're bound to start seeing things!

Lups, I was looking through all the pictures you sent me from your trip and found this one. I don't think it was a moose after all!!

Buy some new power tools instead and go nuts with, hold on to Peter until it makes more sense to trade. You'll take a big fat bath selling him now including moving all those mods. But what do I know

Oh I have pictures all right. I'll show you when we have the next meet, I'm going to keep those away from the internet so I don't get blamed for endorsing speeding, which I never do naturally.

Oh, and if you are trying to wear Peter out to accelerate to the point of needing a new car, just to justify an M3 - don't.... Just go get an M3.

The thing I think you should be trying to figure out is what color!
