Black CP wheels for those interested
Hopefully not already posted, i know a few CP owners have been looking into painting the devil's wheels.

There was some chat elsewhere that BMW were going to alter the paint on the comp wheels, either black or dark grey behind the polished fronts. I haven't seen anything official any thoughts?

I think I know what you're referring to. A few weeks ago somebody posted on here that the Competition Package wheels will be additionally offered in ferric grey. A dealer had told a customer but I'm sceptical. |

My dealer offered to paint mine, I did think they would probably look good on a Silverstone car but I'm sort of used to them now so will probably leave them as they are (for now anyway), maybe a future mod

The more I see the standard 666 wheels the more I like them so for me, I'll be keeping them as standard. I might consider a gunmetal refurbishment if necessary down the line.
each to their own though, as they say

Hmm prefer them actually. Not in any way to insult the silver ones just my taste, I was always keen on this. Looks a lot better than the way one particularly early effort looked. The rims looked lost on the other car but look excellent here.

I prefer the standard Satan's to these to be fair.
I actually think BMW got the standard 437 M3/4 alloys spot on. Especially in the Black. Going to buy a set to run as winters.

I don't actually mind the 666 and think they go good on some colours such as SO, YMB and hopefully TZB when I see them in the metal. They seem to suit darker coloured cars better IMO. Its all personal preference really.

I think the reverse, the old e92 CP would be hard to shift without the CP wheels, but a CP F80 on stock 19" would be good news IMHO.
