Trunk won’t open because of disconnected battery

Hi can someone please help me out
I disconnected my positive wire from my battery not knowing that if I close the trunk that I can’t open the trunk again
I’ve try everything that I’ve found on the net but it doesn’t work like jump starting from the front terminal in the boot
I can get access to the trunk from the back seat because I can’t seem to open the two main backseats
Also when I disconnected the battery the fan come and it’s been running for 6-7 hours now
Can someone please help me out
I dnt know what I have to do now
Thanks in advance

Hi da-055 I’ve seen this post already
I think his car is a m3
I have the m4 coupe and I try doing the same thing he did but the problem is I dnt have that emergency trunk latch
And my seating position is a little different to his
I think the only way is to wiring the car so that it bypass the battery so that the car will have power to start
What type of people knows how to do this ? Electrician ,mechanics etc does anyone knows?
I really dnt wanna call bmw because they gonna charge me a arm and a leg

Trick is to tie a cloth through the boot latch hook when flashing so it can't shut.

This happened to me when I was installing the steering wheel.
Solution is to get a jump start cable connect it in the engine bay and you will have the power to open the boot from inside the cabin. Hope it helps.

this glaring design fault occurred to me when i was half way through installing my electric trunk kit - if the supplied electric latch fails, how do i get into the trunk as M3 seat releases are in the trunk

i ended up buying all the parts to retrofit the US style safety release - the glow in the dark release lever that US regs have in case someone gets locked in the trunk

this way i can pull the side rear seat bolster off, and fish for the remote release through the gap

Not a kit, I got all the part numbers from this thread and put it together during my trunk install
