Help: Cracked EDC connector housing from GC camber plate?
Hi all,
After a weekend at NJMP Lightning (which went well without any major hiccups of which I was aware), the next day driving to work I got the Chassis restriction error. I also noted a new clunking from front left side when going over bumps. Got it in to dealer today, and they found that the EDC connector split at the point where it connects to the top of the tower, with the broken, split half of the plastic connector stuck inside the "female" portion at the top of the strut -- stating that the GC camber plate was essentially responsible. The plates were originally installed by an indy shop, and I hadn't noticed any concerning sounds or issues up until this point. They said they could try to fish out the stuck plastic piece but suspect that may not be possible, and if that's the case, would need to replace the whole strut I need to talk to the SA, but anyone with any insight here? Of course they're now recommending to change back to OEM parts, which of course I don't want to do. Appreciate any quick replies... thanks! |
