The easiest way to is to wrap it. ~3k for a good wrap but it can go up from there.

My only regret about getting Black Sapphire Metallic is that it hides so much detail that the car has to offer.

I have all sorts of carbon bits on the front and back, and you really can't even tell.

I do, however, fly under the radar to cops. So that's nice.

CF parts are somewhat pointless with BSM but.....You absolutely nailed it with flying under the radar. Some will disagree but all the "M colors" do is attract unneeded attention, for me anyways.

Do you mean like plastic vinyl cover? Doing so would actually preserve the paint underneath right?

I agree, I have carbon fiber parts on my BSM M4 and they are difficult to see; especially at night time. All of the car's details and lines are hidden, not to mention it gets dirty the first mile after a 3hr wash (hate that)

Yup, hop on youtube and search car wrap...you will see how they do it and what it does. A good one will last years and will still be easy to remove. Protects the paint and when you get tired, you can peal it off!

As for color regrets on my M, nope!! I hunted for this car for months before I found what I wanted. YMB, Sandstone interior and all the packages...Owned it 1.5 weeks as of today and still break neck to see it. That is an achievement considering what it replaced. As my wife put it "all the other colors just make it look like any other bmw."

Lots of packages in the mail though, can't wait to get started on the build.

I've been away from black now for quite sometime but considering it once again. Tell me, has the work/upkeep clouded the joy? Would you do it again?

Similar story. I had three Misano red Audis in a row, but wasn't really feeling any of the available palette when I was looking at M4s in 2015. Ended up going with gray. It was a cool color but ended up being dark enough to require a decent amount of upkeep, and in the end just wasn't what I was looking for. The different options packages for 2018 gave me an excuse to try again, especially since I knew by then that I really liked the car. I'm much happier now.

Absolutely not, I like cleaning whether its my house or my car. However, I would not do it again because I feel the car can look better in other colors. One color I been going crazy over is that Lime Rock Gray,

Lime Rock is pretty sweet, just 5K extra. Spotted a clean BSM couple weeks ago, beautiful, hence the interest. Thanks for the reply

No regrets, as one can never go wrong with black.

I currently have alpine white with sakhir orange interior. Now that I see BSM with Sakhir orange, I kinda want that. Though I'm not a fan of how dirty black and look easily and how swirls show up easily on that as well.

Frozen dark blue. I would only swap it for limerock gray. I've had Sakhir orange, tanzanite blue and San Marino blue in the past 2 years as well but this frozen blue is gorgeous. People stare at this damn car so much I try not to make contact haha

I certainly don't regret my color choice, just disappointed I did not find out about "individual colors" till after the fact.

It's beautiful, no doubt about it. This is why I'll most likely return to BSM, there's good attention, then there's "unwanted attention", especially these days.

Thanks and I think I'll do the same in the future. I love silver cars and will most likely go that route. I would love a blacked out ride as well. I definitely don't want that kind of attention right now lol
