LF:aftermarket exhaust for f80

Hello guys,
I'm looking for used aftermarket exhaust like akarapovic, MP etc.. btw what do u guys think about IPE, some one offered me an IPE muffler, but my friend told me that IPE does not have good quality and it is extremely loud.
Thanks ! Let me know if u have aftermarket exhaust or do you have any suggestions about modification about exhaust. I want a louder exhaust but with little resonance.

If you like the ZCP/Competition Exhaust sound when it's in Sport/Sport+ mode, then i'd suggest you have 2 other options.

1. (the cheapest) buy yourself this > https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1628555

2. The more expensive, but also more HP option, get yourself a BM3 tune, you can control the exhaust settings in that too, so you can have it always in Sport/Sport+ exhaust open mode, that way you can be obnoxious in parking garages etc :P

Cheers,

SiriX

You're better off modifying the stock exhaust as "nothing" aftermarket like stock exhaust is configured to produce a decent note.

The reason they sound raspy with the valves open is the lack of resonators. Every exhaust on any engine "must" have perforated tube resonators packed with sound deadening to produce a smooth note. The stock midpipe has two cats that increases raspyness with an unpacked resonator which in effect is a turbulence chamber. In other words, the note results from cats and an unpacked resonator and can only produce a raspy note.

Here's the resonator cut open, an absolutely useless design that creates raspyness.

I guess that's why most go for the AA mid and that'll do - removes secondary cats and resonator, joins both exhaust paths and deepens and smooths the tone.

So can we have a decent muffler shop add the packing to get a deeper sound?
Has anybody be done this or nip and tick the stock that's sounds deep and low ?
