LF (from Sydney): BBK kit for F80

I am looking for a Big Brake Kit for 2017 F80 M3. Currently, the car has OEM blue brakes. I am in Sydney. New or used parts, no worries.

Any brand (OEM Golds/Greys/Reds/F10-DIY, AP, Brembo, Stoptech, Sparta) or advice welcome for consideration....

Thanks folks!

For track.

Thanks for your response OzcarM3. You have a sweet BBK setup yourself and I missed out on purchasing your old setup.

I agree with you mynameisplayer

I did some calculations but would still like to consider BBK though...

See if this is still available in the classifieds in the main forum.
Paint match the rear and you have the advantage of pad changes without removing calipers.

Thanks OzcarM3. Much appreciated! I found the link, https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=24831903 .
Seller is in Canada and have been accused of certain things in the above thread.

I looked through your posts; you are a brake connoisseur OzcarM3. I am going through the same as you did.....

These guys are doing great closeout deals on stoptech

https://www.buybrakes.com/bmw-m3-bas...-big-brake-kit

Rears are half price, you'll have to organise a third party shipper, or a family friend in usa to ship it downunder but...

I fitted an MPS M2 BBK to my M4. It's virtually the same as the M3/M4 carbon ceramic brake option with steel rotors and red 6 spot front and 4 spot rear calipers. The genuine MPS kit is surprisingly about 3k cheaper than an aftermarket Brembo or AP BBK and the braking performance and pedal feel is a massive improvement over the stock blue setup.

Hey RevNev.... how much did you end up paying for those red brakes? Did you source them from a local BMW dealer?

$6500 trade price from a BMW dealer. Part# 34112462268 It's the M Performance retrofit for an M2, identical fit to the M3/M4, same master cylinder and brake booster. AP and Brembo aftermarket kits are 10k+.

Sometimes you can't rely on aftermarket caliper piston sizes working optimally hydraulically where the genuine calipers provide that and the brakes aren't over reactive or unbalanced running on the ABS. Pull the ABS fuse on an HSV Commodore with HSV/AP 4 spots and they lock the rear wheels up, massively over braked on the rear of the car, but I guess they look good! ABS is good to prevent lock up's but you don't want the ABS compensating for incorrect front/rear bake balance on a race track.

Thanks for your response RevNev.

Comes with backing plates, pads and rotors. $6500 is reasonable and has resale value.

Good choice RevNev!

I expected them to be at least 10k but I was surprised the price was quite reasonable. The calipers are the same as the carbon ceramic gold one's except red and the rotors are same dimensions in steel.
