H&R Sport. and other mods

finally had a day off and I did the following~ so happy everything worked out!

mods done today.
H&R sport springs. 50474-6 blue springs.
IND painted reflectors + side marker
OEM BMW high gloss grill
12mm spacers front with longer lugs
4 wheel alignment

now pictures. I just used my phone. it has been so cold that I can't get some better shots.

the wheels were put on the car last week~ rear is flush
next mod is window tint and venture shield.

driving impressions on the lowering springs -> I find these springs are nice. for the money and the look you get, they are unbeatable in term of value.
The car does NOT ride bouncy or too harsh. I do feel the road a little bit more but the suspension still absorb the bumps nicely. It is a stiffer ride but it doesn't bother me at all. I did this driving to Boston and in Boston.
Again I have passive suspension.

Happy modding!

I'd found the H&R sport springs made the suspension a little softer and smooth over stock. What do you think?

I agree. On a stretch of bumpy roads, where you have road dimples after dimples, the suspension gets a little rough and bouncy. I found that out this morning on my way to work.

Hyper... I saw your car was at Ace... I had my M4 done there about a month ago (H&R springs, Michelin Alpin snows, and 4 x 12mm spacers) . Did they also mention the exhaust mod that I did to the car when it was on the lift? It was probably the best thing I've done to the car so far!

hi Steve, you mean the exhaust flap mod? I may do it later on. I kind of want to keep the exhaust quiet.

thanks man. These will be on the car for a while.
The rear wheels are very LIGHT. 20lbs or so per wheel. 19x9.5 too.

I may get them refinished for a different color. I will only run two other wheels on the car. 18x9.5 et28 Volk te37 or the BBS FI

What brand are your black set on the car now? 19.5" would be a narrow after market option for the rear in the summer. 10" would be ideal as our cars have a hard time getting traction. Is there a reason why you prefer 9.5"? Maybe to use OEM size tires?

alloy technic B9. I don't have my summer wheel/tire yet. the offset is 20 thus the rear tire is flush with the fender. I can go wider tires on the 9.5 wheels.

wish there were more modified f80s around here. I want to see both in person. Or really just need to see one or the other in person.

I like slammed, but I also hate the hassle sometimes of slammed. The front on sports looks a little high in some pics
