Where do you expect your pad prices to compare (cheaper like Hawks, or really expensive like Ferodo/Endless)?
Currently, our most expensive pad retails at $839.95/pair

It would be interesting to see how these would compare cost wise for a street track setup over the life of the rotors.
Yeah, typically around 50%

Our development partners have actually yet to resurface their discs and they have been testing them on the track for almost a year now. We even deliberately removed most of the material from the pads as well as using regular pads on some of the tests to see how the disc would hold up and the discs were still in very good condition (obviously don't recommend doing this though)

Resurfacing a disc can be done in 1-2 days, but there are logistical times involved as well. We do not currently have a base of operations in the US or EU, so for the moment, the discs would need to be sent back to us in Taiwan. I would need to confirm with the manager regarding costs, but it's not going to be expensive.

We've received a few PM's/WhatsApp/Emails from customers regarding our assembly process etc

I've tasked our media guy to create some nice videos of our whole production/assembly/logistical process and will post up on FB (and possibly here) when they are ready.

In the meantime, here's a short clip of our automated assembly (we use machines/robots for everything. The only part that we don't automate is final packaging, which can only be done by manual labour) for torquing down our bells to our discs (remove the space after https://. For some reason Vimeo attachments not working):

Note: Torque specs are - 8-18-25Nm (3 stage)

Automated CNC for our Calipers (blanks are delivered, prepared and processed by robots. No manual labour involved):

BMW considers the X1 their entry level SUV which I think gives many an opportunity to get into BMWs and modifying them which may turn into a future of BMW ownership and mods. I can say that is a good description of my circumstance.
I didn’t know how much I was going to love being in an X1 and be interested in mods.

If you're interested in helping us develop for the X1, send me a PM and we can discuss

Hey guys,

we've received quite a few PM's and email enquiries regarding our CCM upgrades and would like to point out the following:

- Non-M calipers will require a caliper upgrade to the larger M (or aftermarket, such as AP, Brembo or our own) calipers
- Due to BMW not using standard-sized discs (like what the majority of Ferrari and Porsche use), we would require at least 2-3 months to develop the new disc sizes. The production process of a Gen.2 CCM (regardless of size) takes at least 2 months to do
- If you are happy to use an aftermarket caliper and a standard disc size, lead time will be less

when sending us an enquiry, please provide the following:

- Model Variant (and VIN if possible)
- Regular, M or aftermarket Caliper
- Iron or CCB Discs
- Front, Rear or Both

Thanks!

It's not something we've looking into yet tbh, but if there is sufficient interest, don't see why not

Good morning!

It's been a rather hectic week, but we have finally finished uploading our full range of CCM Vehicle-Specific Fitments, Custom/Universal CCM Fitments, CCM Brake Pads and Racing Calipers (including our new 6-Pot Racing Calipers, with a patented design that lowers caliper temps on the track by up to 40c!)

All Retail/MSRP pricing is now up-to-date (inc. BMW fitments) and online on our website: www.ctecarbon.com

As a special Thank You to everyone who has been patient with us so far while we were getting things all set up for B2C, for the remainder of this month, we will be offering a very special discount on our full product range to everyone that has been waiting. To order, simply PM me or fill out our Contact Form on our website: www.ctecarbon.com/contact

Now that the B2C side has been finalised, we are now looking to finalise our B2B/Dealer Network. If your company is interested in helping us promote the latest in Carbon Ceramic Braking Technology, please don't hesitate to contact us!

And with that, I'll leave you with an image of our new Universal 2-Pot Rear EPB Caliper. Designed to fit under 18" & above wheels, whether upgrading your existing rear brakes to larger Iron discs, upgrading to the ultimate CCM setup, or simply wanting to convert your Manual Handbrake to an Electronic Setup, this product is for you (P.S I know that this does not apply to the majority of BMW's in this community, but some of you may be interested)

If you are using universal calipers as one possible F & R brake setup, how is the stock brake bias affected? Do you have the piston diameters of your universal F and R calipers? What brake pad profiles are used in your universal calipers? What are the pad radial depths (PRDs) for F and R f8x pads? Have you calculated brake bias for the universal calipers mounted on a f8x?

I'm still gathering all the pertinent details together regarding the calipers and will update shortly on the specs etc. The bias will be matched with the vehicle fitment that they are going to be installed on.

We actually have various sizes of each caliper as well as piston sizes, although it is only listed as a single universal fitment currently on the website. The caliper section on the website is currently just a placeholder, although the pricing is accurate.
