15-25mm Drop - OEM Ride Quality & Road Noise - What Suspension?
I have an M4cs and I know BMW spent a lot of time R&D the ride of the M4cs. I'd like to have adjustable ride height ( 15-25mm drop ) - yet have the ride like OEM.
I like the thought of adjustable springs, as they will retain all the OEM mounts to keep the road nose to OEM levels... but I'm concerned the stock shocks will be stressed and operating in a range they are not designed. Looking for the least amount of road noise ( OEM like ) and keep a good level of comfort. Also the 3 way adjustable electronics would be nice to keep as well... Adjustable Springs to keep OEM like noise and comfort? Ohlins Coilvers? KW Coilovers? OEM M4 GTS coilover system from Dealer ? Whats the best out there? |

I ordered AC Schnitzer adjustable suspension and can't wait to install It... It should lower the car 30 mm...anyhow I am not interested in slamming the car, just want improved handling

not sure why road noise would change other than your tires hitting the fender liners.
I had every intention of running MP HAS on my car but was talked out of doing it based on the type of driving I do. I go to the canyons a lot and am planning on keeping my car for awhile. I ended up with KW DDC's with ground control camber plates. I have a bad back so having something that rides stiff was just not an option for me. |

I went with MP-HAS on my Base model to step up from OEM springs. Factory EDC needed no changes. Now I have the height adjustability that I wanted for tire gap, and the new HAS springs feel 1 notch softer than stock (wife and I both happy). No changes to or added noise/vibration. Handling feels the same, no sway or bounce, rebound unchanged, just slightly softer compression feel from the road.
Thanks to Tommy L Garage for the MP-HAS recommendation. I wasn't sure if KW or MP but he said KW is a notch stiffer (better for road/track) and MP a notch softer (better for DD comfort). If I'm doing a 60-130 or a 100-150 highway run I just put suspension in Sport+ (since now it's like Sport, plenty stiff for me).
