Going catless..what to expect ?

Having my shop install catless downpipes on my M2C with BM3. What can I expect....tune-wise ? Is it as simple as coding out the CEL in BM3 ? Anything else ?

That's it...just set the Catalytic Monitor (CEL) to OFF...save, flash.

If you had burbles on try turning them off so you can hear your intake and exhaust. You might even get a couple natural burbles. Now my burble sounds "real" because it is.

Running ethanol smells better than gasoline...good excuse for an E85 tune!

you have secondary cats on you car....going catless downpipe does not smell anything

it will add exhaust sound, turbo whistle sound and for me the burble became annoying, turn them off on my f80 m3

True story. I was already on E30 mix; did the secondary cat delete via midpipe and within one week of the delete I had gone E85 because of the smell.

DPs will allow the turbos to spin up a little faster to get you up into the usable powerband. The pull will pick up about 500RPM earlier than previous and up above 6000RPM you won't have as much power drop off, compared to stock cats.
