That's disgusting.

I have the same interior and my car is a 4 season daily driver. The seats are as flawless as they were from delivery day.

Damp microfiber cloth wipe down every 2 weeks or so.

It's a car I'm potentially looking to buy, so wondering if this can be reversed...

If it's surface crap, mostly likely can be helped. If it's scratched you are limited.

Make a deal conditional on cleaning the seats.

Also another thing to consider is if the person who owns that car leaves the seat that which is easy to clean. Makes you wonder what else on the car they don't give two shits about.

That whole seat is dirty. Bring your own leather cleaner/conditioner and try to spot clean that bolster before buying. If the seller wants to sell it then there should be no problem with that.

Griot's Garage scent-restoring leather cleaner spray, followed by their 3-in-1 or "standard" leather conditioner (spray or cream). Spray a clean microfiber cloth with the cleaner and work on the stains/dirt, and follow up by applying the spray or cream to another clean cloth and work it into the leather, then buff with a dry cloth.

the dirt should come up but the wear may require fixing. see if you have a fibrenew franchise near you. they do this kind of work all the time with great results.

My M4 has similar damage on the same area when I bought it. I bought it contingent on the dealer fixing it. They did a pretty good job and you can’t tell to been dyed in that area unless you look very closely. It’s very common on these cars.

The reality is that it will happen again even if repaired. I intend to buy a color matched leather dye and repair kit from leather masters uk or something like that to use in the future. There are allot of videos on YouTube of the process used to repair or you can take it to a professional. I think it’s a do-able diy though.

Thanks for the advice. Mind sharing pics of how it looks now?

BMW’s own leather cleaner/conditioner does wonders to clean SS seats.

Here’s what the same area looks like after being dyed by the dealer. I had similar damage to OP. You can’t really tell unless you look very closely where you can see the stitching shows that it is more white. There were also a couple of minor scratches in the bottom part of the seat on the bolster by the shifter that aren’t really visible anymore.

There are some do it yourself kits you can buy with color matched dyes that I may use if it reoccurs - or take it to a professional but based on the YouTube videos I have seen I think I could tackle it.
