EDC Accel code
Hey all. Was wondering if I could get some ideas on what to tackle next to try and resolve the EDC Accel sensor code I'm getting after camber plate install. Alex was able to remotely diagnose it for me initially, I then ordered new harnesses and replaced them and am still getting the same code. Is the small sensor box right below the perch the next step? Unfortunately they look to be backordered everywhere. Anything I am missing? Someone mentioned maybe the connection point at the top of the strut might have been rotated 180 degrees. Would this cause the acceleration sensing system to show a below threshold code?

Same thing happened when my M Performance HAS was installed. Only one side threw the code, front right. I swapped the sensor to the left side to see if it the code followed and it did. My car was under warranty, so took it to the dealer and they replaced the harness and sensor. They tried to deny it at first saying my car was too low, but I asked them if it was too low - how come only 1 side threw the code. Also, my dealer was dumb enough to not know about the M Performance HAS being OEM and tried to deny it because the car was lowered and I gave them the MPHAS part number and they replaced the right side sensor and harness and it resolved the code/ issue.
If you're under warranty and lowered on MPHAS fight the dealer and if you didn't just buy the sensor when it's available. Good luck. |
