is this everything you need?
only the discs and pads? Will the pads fit into the gold CCB calipers from the F8X? Are the sizes of the discs identical with the ceramics?

that would be the best retrofit for annoyed CCB owners.

Firstly, love the car, looks amazing.
Do Cotsword quote for the M2 comp callipers also? Or is this all in?
Sorry if stating the obvious

Technic fit the CCB calipers with bmw iron rotors to his f80/f82 back in 2015. Some custom work was needed but this idea has already been converted.

https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=884981

You can see his adventure at the above link.

Technic kept non ceramic booster with no change

Side story but I'm currently converting my e92 m3 to full ceramic calipers on iron rotors. I have a front kit from a 3rd party company but i wanted to finish the kit and do the rear. I made everything to convert it and test fit it all but there are *ZERO* passenger rear calipers in the world to be purchased from bmw at the moment. I have been waiting 2 months and they haven't got any to sell. They estimate by end of september they might have some available.

Ballpark spend in addition to what I've said already re pads/discs

You'd need F&R

Calipers 2 off fronts at ~ £700ea and 2 off rears ~ £500ea

Fronts grey 6 pots L&R part no 34118091277/78
Rears grey 4 pots L&R part no 34218091281/82

Backing plates - ballpark £80-£100 for all 4

Fronts L&R part no 34118058655/56
Rear L&R part no 34208094317/18

Pad wear sensor - generic so potentially you could re-use existing

Front part no 34356792289
Rear part no 34356792292

I'd also advise getting new bolts etc for mounting backing plates/calipers and discs... ~circa £40-£50

All up

Discs/pads £1370
Calipers £2400
Backing plates £100
Fixings £50
wear sensors £50

Total all up is ~ £3970.

Have heard new M2C owners being offered MPBBK [red calipers/better pads retrofit - due to delays of 2NH sport brake option] for circa £3400-£3500 - ie 10+% cheaper than the above total.

No, you would have to follow fitment guides for compatibility with CCBs as these are dimensionally identical.

This means no 18" apex options -- only 19"s.

Has anyone actually seen a M2 comp caliper in person yet to verify that the M2 comp 6 pots are identical to the M3 CCB's?

They are 6 pots on the front and 4 on the rear. I don't know if they are the same as the M3 CCB, they look a little different to me. Rather than doing a retrofit on my M2 (OG) I am looking at doing the AP setup, I suspect this OEM upgraded brake package isn't going to be as durable for track work as the AP setup.

Yea all bmw multi-piston brakes are made by brembo, unlike a few of other companies that use akebono brakes.

There are quite a few members on this forum that feel the stock brakes are not adequate for their needs and there are also those that feel they are perfectly adequate.

I personally was very unhappy with stock brakes and upgraded fluid/pads on the local tracks I run out here. They would do well for a few laps, but once I really started pushing for 3-4+ fast laps it was inevitable that I would experience brake fade, especially on tracks with heavy braking zones.

I think the only definitive thing I could say is once you switch over to full racing slicks, upgraded brakes are definitely a necessity. Anything before that, it's really user specific.
I totally agree with what you have said.

Having a big brake kit with upgraded high bite trackpad set up is in a

different league to an OEM caliper with thinner OEM brake disc with a high

bite trackpad set up.

Anxious to hear what the total upgrade kit price will be in the U.S. I am only interested if red calipers are offered and the kit is at least $1000 less than a comparable Brembo kit.

I saw the post yesterday and thought it looked great! I had some questions but since you will be doing a thread on it, I will be looking forward that.

Just 1 question I'd like to get the answer to sooner, did you replace the brake booster or not?

Can you please share how installation was? Was it pretty much same as doing CCB retrofit?
How much did you pay for these brake sets? Are they used or new?

Just add the MSRP costs for calipers, rotors and pads at each corner and you’ll be around that figure.
