Do you mind sharing which blendmount you purchased? I bought a BMW-007 based on the side profile picture and it doesn't fit. They are going to send me out another one that should work (006)?

Will you leave the detector in your car when parked? Are you worried about someome breakimg your window to get a $300 detector?

theres a release on the back of the blend mount so if you leave the vehicle you can take off the detector. the blend mount will only remain as it is attached to the actual mirror

And with no suction cups on the glass it doesn't look like you have a detector!

Did the 007 fit? I have an F80 without Drivers Assist (in case that matters).

The 007 didn't originally fit however they sent me a piece that replaces a piece on the 007 to allow the detector to fit. It pretty much gives you more room to play with so you can adjust the RD higher or lower. So to answer the 007 did fit but make sure to ask them for the bigger bottom piece

I have a Passport 9500xi. The BlendMount that I have is part # BBE-2017. Works great in my M4. Only problem is the position of the RD blocks the light sensor so it doesn't automatically adjust brightness.

The mount I have isn't blocking that sensor. And the directions dont show it for that model.

Here is a shot of mine. It is directly below the mirror. The blacked out section of the windshield where the mirror sits seems to block the sensor. Before I got the BlendMount I had the RD suction cupped to the windshield so it sat more forward and didn't block the sensor. Is yours mounted the same way?

I used the wire tap. Tom@eas had a post telling which wires in the mirror harness to tap. Simple.

Yes it sits in the same location but that isn't a head lamp sensor, it's the led warning light for the alarm.
