They come in here with a generic announcement that they're moving locations. Didn't care to take ownership of their lack of communication nor address anyone's issues. Amazing company

Such a shame, I really wanted the side skirts but their inability to be responsive had me back out. I still really want them, will probably wait for someone to sell second hand.

Is this company back in good standing with the community. I like their carbon fiber diffuser but don’t wanna want a hassle

Had a similar experience with my full exhaust. Lead time was much longer than initially promised, and kept getting extended. I think it was just a case of it being a new product for them and a little bit of over promising on their part. That said, never had communication issues with Mike, and the actual product is fantastic. My installer was pushing me hard towards Akra, but when he got my SG exhaust, he told me build quality and packaging was some of the best he’d seen. The carbon tips are beautiful, and the exhaust sounds incredible in all modes.

Don't bother with Status Gruppe

I ordered a rear diffuser for M4 on Black Friday. Mike promised it would be ready in 8 weeks. Fine, I agreed to wait. Obviously, after the 8 weeks, nothing happened. No proactive communication from his side. I had to chase him to understand when it would be ready as if I was the one at fault. However, every time the answer was the same - give us a couple more weeks. After 4 months, I got tired and filed a dispute with my cc issuer to get the money back. So if you value your time and money, avoid Status Gruppe.

What's the word on Status Groupe? Was considering there carbon fiber trunk for F8X but just stumbled on this thread and had to pump the brakes.

I ordered side skirts for my M3 all the way back in February 2017 and it was the same story then, except that it has gotten worse as awareness for their products has increased. Back then my parts were delivered “only” a few weeks later than their estimate. Their production can’t keep pace with demand and they have the exact same communication shortcomings, except it appears that they’ve become more overwhelmed and less communicative. Two years ago I sent this as part of an email message to Mike:

“To this point, I am extremely disappointed with your company's communication regarding my order status, as well as the accuracy of the information I have received. None of these delays were brought to my attention prior to or during the order process. Am I suppose to just accept that my order will eventually arrive when you and your body shop get around to it?“.

I eventually got my stuff and the quality was good, but I would never, ever order from them or recommend them to someone else.

- You should get a realistic estimate of when your parts will be ready. Everything they make should have a production duration assigned and the parts should be queued. They’ve had several years to determine their actual production output. This is Manufacturing 101.

- If your stuff isn’t going to make a deadline, they should contact YOU, not the other way around. Having to reach out to them via multiple methods just to find out what’s going on reeks of deception and evasion. They should be able to tell you within a couple days’ accuracy when your parts should actually be produced on the day they receive your order. As the delta between “order placed” and “order delivered” grows, it’s a simple matter to update their website. “We are currently experiencing high demand for this item and production will take approximately XX weeks.”

Screw these guys. They have continuous and fundamental business operational problems and they’re showing no signs of improvement. These are simple communications issues and are usually easily solved by competent businesses (hint: it’s called giving a damn about your customers).

Spend your dollars elsewhere.
