I'd trust Dubsesd information on the matter. He was helpful answering questions when I was doing mine. See if you can return them and wait for another set to show up on eBay or bite the bullet and order brand new from GetBMWParts with modules for piece of mind.

They cannot be coded to LHD if that's what you mean. You would physically have to take apart the headlights and figure out the rest. They just won't work

Does anyone know if the screws, nuts, bolts, etc. that are on the pre LCI Adaptive headlights will work on the LCI adaptive ones?

I'm not talking about the modules, it seems when you get modules new they don't come with the screws and bolts and such you need to actually tighten them to the housing.

Or do you know if we can source those at a good price online or at the dealer?

Will F32 Adaptive LCI work with F82 PRELCI?

Now I have adaptive xenon, but i think i know the wires i should change so its only matter of coding if anyone wants i can share

For coding i think zeitkriterium after 03/2017(thats the year adaptive led lci has been started mounting in our cars), remove 522,524 and add 552, recode all affected modules. Do i need to update my FEM to get it working?
Or each lamp has own modules(fler,flel) and they will work without updating fem to newest psdzdata?
When i complete this retrofit i will share with you guys detailed info but i just nedd help do i need to update my fem?
I got icom next, but im kinda worries about flashing fem_gw. If anyone that did that in the past can tell about his experience about flashing all car with ista+, especially about fem
Thanks

F32 LCI should work. The M4/M3 has the 4 series front.

Wait, so did your light set not include all of the above and you had to pay an extra $2K? Where did you get your lights from?

New headlight housings are sold without any modules;
Used ones are sold either complete or without modules (depends on seller).

I would never buy all that new from bmw - would either search for a used and complete set, or buy used modules (since the headlights are also used).
That's what I did for my 1 series (bought a complete used set).

Just for example purposes, here in my country new original adaptive headlights from bmw for my 1 series costs around 2x 1500€ - complete modules set adds at least 2x 600€, which means 4200€ all new and complete;
I paid 1300€ for my used and complete set .

It seems like the main FLE2 module 63118494844 is the same for european and Usa Led headlights. Do you guys think that is possible to install euro headlights on an usa car and keep the stock modules and just recode the fle2 ?

Yes, but you need to code the FLE's and FRM to Euro Specs.

I have a 2018 U.S. Spec 2018 M3. I found a great deal on a pair of ECE LCI headlights part numbers 63118738705 and 63118738706. Anyone have any ideas if these would i need to reprogram them and possibly the plug and play ability with these?

Thanks

If someone could source a headlight with the modules already installed would these be a plug and play swap and just code the VO?

The wire extension was made by local bmw tech dealer. I remember more than one inside the envelope.
Write me in pm to have remote coding in order to activate them
I just bought a set of front lights finally. i heard it was plug and code if you have the led to lci iconic light.

did you have to get the modules too?

Just completed my Adaptive Xenon to LHD Eurospec IKON LCI2 headlight retrofit. Lights were purchased from Spain. Zworklights was the local shop (certified Bavgruppe and Bayoptiks installer) who did the wiring of a retrofit harness I purchased from Marius76 (and who also did my coding) + RGB upgrade.

This retrofit project definitely is NOT for the faint-at-heart. Very tedious and time consuming. We had to ensure the Xenon-to-LCI harness wiring was done correctly and also didn’t interfere with any of my performance components such as the CANBus flex fuel setup & methanol injection setup. Also verify that physical modules included with the IKONs headlights are working properly, integrate aftermarket RGB modules, take the car apart from trunk to firewall to route harness, extended passenger side headlight wiring harness which was extremely tricky, and verify that everything fits well (from engine bay components to headlights themselves to bumper/hood/exterior panels.)

All-in-all … totally worth it!
