For those on Alex tune, I think tuned exhaust with 38 AAT burbles sounds just right. That's at least how he names the file when you want tuned up burbles. I'm loving the tune on my Stage 2+ with 38 AAT tuned exhaust burbles. Just abit more than stock and just right at least for me. Hope this helps...

Having the quieter burbles is definately the more sensible way to go no doubt, but nothing quite puts a smile on your face like this..

I have his stage 2 installed on my non-competition F80 M3. It is great tune!
But one annoying thing to me is that exhaust valve actuator does not work like stock competition car.
I also have M4 which is competition model. On this one, right after you start the car (either cold or warm start), once you switch to sport or sport+ mode and lightly press gas pedal, you can hear exhaust valve open.
On alpinemss tuned M3, I cannot get the valve to open at all right after starting the car. I have to drive the car for a bit to get exhaust warmed up then it starts to operate valve normally. Until then, it is stuck in closed position.

You can just request the desired operation you like. If you like it like the competition/stock you have before just mention it. Your flaps might also already be open

I normally don't do reviews of anything nor have the time to do it but here's what I think about Alex and his tune.
I've owned multiple M3/4's and dealt with many many tuners since the 90's (some good and some not so good) and I'm also a track rat, been dealing with Alex for all my tuning/programming needs since the E9X days. Currently both my M4 and my daily driver the F10 M5 are tuned by Alex with a stage 2 both. I daily my M5 and the feel of his map is just amazing totally OEM like and smooth but it's a beast when you want it to be, as for the M4 that thing is a rocket and again power delivery is OEM like, I wouldn't want it any other way on the track, these cars are torquey and you don't want it accelerating abruptly on the track all the time or you're gonna meet the wall eventually, his tune makes the car so much more fun to drive on the street and on the track.
Anything you need during and after the process Alex is always there and available with no gripes and always in a good mood to help. I will continue to have him work on all my cars, to me he offers one of the best tunes out there and at a great price, what's not to like?

Alex recently coded my car remotely (again), after it was flashed by the BMW dealer.
I did the (DIY) retrofit LCI LED adaptieve headlights. He coded it in less than 5 min and in addition he did the EDC CS, GTS flash and the other usual codings. I also purchased the Alex tune (stage 2+) and received a very nice discount. I can't ask for better service

Long Island Woodbury area specifically. Local cops over the years know I don't drive like a dick so they let me slide on most things like burbles 5% tints and no front plates

Recently, Alex installed his tune on my car (stage 2/GTS like).
The car is a beast and it feels very linear. I don't get surprised (anymore in rainy conditions) by the sudden torque peak. . When the sunny weather arrives in the Netherlands, i will change to stage 2+.

Anyone have soundclip of alex's comp level burbles? Does it sound close to oem comp burbles? My main complaint of the tunes like bm3 etc is the burbles sound like bubbles more than the oem kinda rumble burble
