Omg. Who cares if an M car depreciates during its run?? If that's an indication of how a car will be remembered, then everything BMW M division has ever produced is garbage, other than the 1M and M3 CSL

Sakhir is undesirable? I think it looks fantastic and was my second choice behind YMB if I wasn't able to find one in my search.

Maybe he was referring to Austin Yellow with Sakhir interior.

Coming from 2 previous E46 M3s, I'll chime in as I'v had my M4 for over a year now.
This platform is one of the most good looking in the M Category for years. Personally, I love everything about the looks/lines of the F80/F82. Bold, swooping curves and presence. What angered me about the previous two generations of M3 is that other than the Quad exhausts and a few M badges, it didn't stand out massively. * In Pure Stock Form * The F80/F82 is the first one to grab the attention of tuners along with the F10 M5. The turbo platform is just so easy to get power from and you can finally run with the AMGs on the highway. The previous generations are just so hard to get power out of. The noise from the S55 I will agree isn't as glorious as the E92 V8, but that is to be expected. That S65 is one of the best sounding engines. |

But you can't deny that any way you cut it, the F8x is a great-looking car that is awesome to drive. |

I think initial reviews will be negative but eventually over time. People will respect and love them more.
If not, eff them This car straight up lays pipe on the competition. |

Not exactly true...a lot of us came of driving age as Japanese GTs began to rule the day in the late 70s/early 80s (Celica, Datsun/Nissan Z's, etc.). Having owned an A50, A60, and MkII the car I really wanted was an MKIV - but it was way too expensive.

Any model of car that gets a few years old will have examples of high milage, salvage title, beaten up versions somewhere in the country at places with names like The Devil's Sorcerer Auto. This is in no way indicative of the car itself. Just be happy you don't drive a domestic, where one is already at every stoplight, but once the model ages the floodgates really open.

Only time will tell if another M3 will look as good from the rear as the F80. When my lease ends this December it will be my saddest return day. Even though it is far from perfect it does many things well. It has handled daily commuting in NYC traffic and open roads as well as I could have hoped for. The lines, stance and overall look of the F80 will age very well. In my opinion one of the best looking sport sedans to date.

Ugh hum I’ve owned 15+ Ferrari’s about 40 Porsche’s and around 20 bmws 10+ Mercedes couple Lambos, 2 lotus’s , 3 aston martins and 1 Audi R8 and I don’t know what a exotic car sounds like get out of here, I agree the F8x definitely needs a exhaust system on it but definitely sounds exotic with exhaust on.

I don't know about the future but there are a couple of things you can't take away from the F80 series M cars. You can't take away the fact that its absolutely beautiful, Drives great, has an awesome bulldog stance, performance was M badge worthy, and the interior was awesome... not too over the top but special and undeniably bmw.

With an MPE the F80 sounds just as good as many Porsches.
