2 Fitty on Conrod, Nice. M day at Phillip Is. I coasted at back of the pack coming up to main straight, got to 250 about half way along - caught the pack Driving instructor takes you around on hot lap - opens your eyes up! 240 into first corner

That’s a cracking lap! That driver sure has skills - I’m itching to get down to PI and see what this thing can do, probably the next PIARC day.

The 1M was about 250. Entry speed into T1 around 190. M4 will be quicker.

Right, my memory is about 250 as well in a M3 CP. I'm trying to figure why the V8 Supercars and some time attack cars are only doing the same speed?

Big aero would be why. It really trims top speed. But they can enter T1 at well over 200. I have seen V8 Supercar footage and they are hitting around 280 though.

There's no way you're doing 250 by the sign on the main straight. You've still got 200m+ of acceleration plus a bit of downhill to go.
At that point you're doing 220- 230 in a standard M4 if you got a good run out of turn 12.
I'm pretty sure I top out at about 240-245 at the end of the straight before braking, not that I'm looking at the speedo at that point!

This car is 4-up, and doing about 240 at the sign. You know how much of a hit you take with 4 people?! Maybe time to get out of your M2...

Sorry thought you meant absolute top speed on main straight.

As you say I'm not really looking but have had passengers with me before who have helped with that, when they're not busy phantom braking.
