ASD option not available in Bimmercode
I just picked up my new 2018 F80 and wanted to deactivate ASD, so I purchased Bimmercode along with the Veepeak adapter.
I was successful in connecting the app to the car but the ASD option is greyed out and when I click it, it says "coding data not available." Other options are green and available. Anyone else come across this? Deactivating the ASD was the only reason why I bought Bimmercode! Many thanks. |

I had also asked the same question through the "contact support" function in the app, and received a response this morning that this will be fixed in the next app update "soon".
Presumably it's a known issue, possibly because something may have changed in the programming of the more recent cars? I'm speculating... Update in case this helps others: In a follow-up with BimmerCode, they told me that the "app is missing the necessary data for the software in [my] car." Apparently an update to the app is coming in the next two weeks to correct the issue. My car was built on August 9th, so it seems there were some recent software changes, at least as it relates to ASD. |

Bimmercode pushed out a coding upgrade. I saw that when I started the app today. So maybe update the app, fire it up and update the coding codes to try again?

On the bottom of the screen I see Version 2.12 (6759). What do you see? |

The BimmerCode app did update yesterday and the ASD is now green. You are able to turn it off, but I am not sure if it stays off? When I go into it and turn it off and shut the car off and turn it back on, it says unknown state. I didn't buy the app yet, so until I do, do I have to keep turning ASD off every time I start the car?

Thanks, perhaps I should have asked: I'm assuming this is not on an Apple device, correct? My revision number is something completely different.

I decided to pull the ASD plug because I didn't trust the app since I didn't pay for it, but I'm sure the app did work as I didn't notice anything different after pulling out the plug after turning it off through the app. |

Oh if that's the case then I guess I wasn't able to tell the difference between ASD being plugged in and not plugged in. But I thought for sure when I used the app to turn ASD off, I noticed a difference. But at least I know for sure that ASD is not enabled cause I unplugged it.

Got an update for the iOS version of the app yesterday, one of the update notes specified addressing the coding data for cars with the most recent software update.
I won't get to it for a few days, but will provide an update after I try it again. Update: worked like a charm! |
