So true - you've got your nice car, washed, waxed, maintained, clear bra and some guy with an ax to grind against the world pulls up in a dented, rusted out beater. He has nothing to lose, gotta stay out of those situations.

I experience slower 'fast' cars (scat pack, 5.0s, wrx, type R, golfs) immediately attempting to get my attention whenever they see me, whether it be speeding past me and backfiring, revving like an asshole if we're stopped, tailgating...just textbook bonehead behavior. All driven by bros normally. My f80 is BSM so I'd like to think I occasionally fly under the radar when it comes to this sort of thing but often when I'm on pch (OC) for my daily commute, it happens. I don't know if they're trying to flex, race, or for me to get on it so they can hear the f80. Its friggin annoying.

100% chance the CRV driver owns a "pussy hat."

Yeah I've had a ton of corvettes and domestic muscle cars and they never really got too much attention from folks.

Dealer let us drive a certified M4 for a couple of days and people in golfs and random other cars like Lexus RC3xxx or other tuner cars were all over us even though we were just driving chill.

I think M3/4s are just the wet dream cars for that teen/twenty-something tuner crowd so they start thinking with that second brain when they see one.

One time I got to drive an m4...

I drove down the street about 20 houses and stopped at a light. A car of girls pull up next to me, look over, and smile.

That never happens to me.

God bless an M4.

Dude, I share the exact same sentiment as you. I live in OC myself and this is exactly the type of shit I deal with. It's always the slower cars that try to flex and antagonize -- its so obnoxious. It would be nice to make a quick trip to the grocery store without some burble tuned GTI trying to peacock.

I ordered my ZCP in BSM also in an effort to fly under the radar. You'd think black badges on BSM would help, but it only does so marginally. Whenever I see something greater roll by (P-car, Huracan, AMG GT, whatever) I just chill and admire.

Maybe he's just trying to communicate with your factory-burble tuned M4?

I go back to Fairfield County about 5x a year. I agree M3's are much more common there. I've actually never spotted a M4 at home.

In SoCal, at least in OC, M4's seem to be much more common than M3's.

Most annoying are those Mopars. Lord every dude and his brother has one version or the other. And they ALL want to race. I'll engage them once in awhile if in safe place. Especially if a corner is involved.

Happens to me at least once a week, I drive 90% on highways and on cruise control...and someone in a WRX or a 335i will "pace" with me, then just take off expecting me to do the same...

When we were on the freeway driving up to wine country this past Saturday, a beat-up Mitsubishi Eclipse with an oversized exhaust tip pulled up to my side of the car egging me on to race. I looked over and his girlfriend in the passenger seat had an embarrassed look on her face. I laughed and he proceeded to move onto the next car, a 3-series with its top down, who wasn't interested either.

Slow is relative... post says 80 MPH
in moderate traffic.

1) You did not read the original post
2) You did not comprehend

Which is it?

1) This weekend driving 95 south this very short hair woman dark glasses crew cut on my ass with her new CR-V in moderate traffic. I'm doing 80 mph. She gets on my ass and is high beaming me.

I get out her way the traffic slows dramatically now I pass her normally.
She gives me the middle finger and the small penis sign.

I open the sunroof and give her the make it rain strip club gesture...

2) Day 2; Dude in Camaro sees me and starts hauling ass on Merit Park south right before you reach Port Chester. It a down hill sweeping two lane blind corner. Again; traffic slows dramatically. He locks up the brakes skids an easy 25+/- feet. Stops just shy of destroying the car in front of him. It was so much smoke looked like a burn out...

People are crazy...

I did say this was random...
this morning after going from the Merrit to 287 in my E92 M3 I noticed a 335/340 was tailgating me although I was in the 1st lane... I laughed it off. If I'm going to race some idiot it will not be an idiot in a 335/340...
