Hey any update on this. What can you do with the track menu. Can you set your own tracks?

Displays the system even more power and torque when the car has more power as the regular M4?

When I use torque it causes random changes between automatic and sequential shift!

Just happy it wasn't anything more safety related.

Thinking I wouldn't have that sort of issue with a BMW backed product.

Once again...

How is this any better than the infinitely configurable $5 Torque app with a $15 Bluetooth OBD adapter?

Anyone posted a review of this yet?

https://drivedeck.de/driveanalyseren/

The US Apple App Store has zero app reviews.

Version 1.0 - Jan-2015
Mar-2015 - v2 - "All BMW car models 2011 and later are supported
Apr-2015 - v2.0.2 - "Updated vehicle database. Graph support for l/h, mpg, km/l"

Problem solved with the last update! The overlay data on the videos created are fantastic!

Can anybody who is using this app provide a bit more detail about what it adds over the M Laptimer?

Also, is the raw data easily accessible or is it encoded as a binary (like the one from the M Laptimer)?

Its all ODB Info. Even the G-Meter. The layout/screens/dashboard for Torque are also complety customizable. So you can pick and choose exactly what data you want to display and how. You could even paint up a couple of look-a-like M gauges if that's what you really want...

$20 for a totally open, customizable, solution vs $400 for a BMW branded proprietary one which locks you in.

I know which one I will be using.

Of course, the Apple fan-boys may feel different... ;-)
Bit of a daft comment if the Torque app only runs on Android - it can be as great as you want but useless to anyone with an iPhone - or am I missing something here - is it also available on iOS?

No - not really a "daft comment"... Just because the author of TORQUE may not have built it to support IOS, doesn't mean it isn't still a much cheaper alternative. I'm pretty sure there are other ODB2 apps for IOS - maybe not Torque though.

Is it also a "daft comment" because it doesn't run on Windows Phone or Blackberry either? ..or is it that YOUR world doesn't revolve around those either?

You need to understand that not everybody runs (or loves) Apple products. So maybe the Android folks can get a better app for $20 than Apple users can get for several hundred... Apple folks are used to overpaying for apps anyway...

Man clearly you love to rant which would appear to make you as bad as the 'Apple fan boys' you want to taunt - my only point was that you in your own message taunted Apple Fan boys for no apparent related reason, which I am not btw, and kept promoting Torque as THE alternative when in fact, as good as it is, only supports one platform! Not exactly a universal solution. You clearly are touchy about Apple products - personally have owned Android, Apple and a bunch of other platforms/makes over the years so truthfully couldn't give a toss on that - chill out my friend!

So, without getting in a iOS/Android debate, are there any benefits from using the M Performance Drive Analyser instead of the free M Laptimer?

The advantage over torque is that torque pro and the adaptors only support generic protocols. The max rate you'll get on any sensor using the generic protocols is about 5 frames a second.

There are no aftermarket Bluetooth OBD dongles that support the BMW protocols that why it's inferior.

Ill have a look later today and let you know.

One thing that I would like (a LOT) if they make this amobile app so it integrates with the drive system. I mean, no change I am going to plug this on the window with a suction cup.
