Will I get an M School voucher after signing a 2018 F80 lease?

Hi all..just picked up an 18' F80 lease..

does anyone know if BMW is still sending vouchers for M school?

Do they do them for leases or finance only?

Does the dealer have any say in this ?

Yes M driver's package is must have in order to receive the voucher

You "might" get a nice USB key. And if you read the little note that comes with it and don't throw it out, it might give you an $895 credit towards the class of your choice.

I'm using it for my son for the teen driving school.

Call your selling dealer. Mine took 3 months before I received an email about it.

They do them for both leasing and financing. There are several ways you will be notified that you got a voucher:

1) You will get a gift in the mail, like a USB key. The note inside sometimes has the code for the voucher. These are usually for the Driver's School. It's worth about $849. It comes with a two night stay at a local hotel and meals.

2) You will get an e-mail.

3) You will get a pamphlet in the mail.

Yes, the M Drivers pack will be listed on the sticker. The M Drivers Pack includes a 1-Day School that is worth about $1550. It is much more comprehensive than the Driver's School and is more similar to the 1-Day M School. You can use the credit to upgrade to the 1-Day M School.

That might be class dependent. I ended up using mine for the teen driving program and it comes with nada (not even a ride from the airport!)

You lose the hotels if you change the class unless the new class includes hotels. Either way the credit is the same: $849.

In 2016 I upgraded from the Driving School, which included a 2-night stay at the Embassy Suites near the Performance Center West, to the 1-Day M School, which normally didn't, and still got the 2-night stay.

The upgrade to the 1-Day M School was actually for my wife because I won a raffle for the 1-Day M School and when I made my reservations I was asked about the credit for the Driving School that was on my account (we had both previously attended the 2-Day M School at the Performance Center East). I didn't realize that I had the credit, so my wife and I both attended the 1-day M School, including the 2-night stay at the Embassy Suites, for $701, the difference between the $849 Driving School and the $1,550 1-Day M School.

Hmm I'll defer to you then. I was told that i would have lost the hotel going to the 1-Day. I ended up doing the 2-Day instead so I didn't actually prove that theory.

Don't get your hopes up. I've done about 20 new BMWs with nearly half being M cars and never got anything extra.

I just got a call back from a woman at the BMW Performance Center. (They're apparently so busy that they ask you to leave a message and get a call back. The call back took 24 hours.)

Since I got a voucher for the $895 Driving School with the purchase of my 2016 M4 and my wife didn't get an e-mail/letter when she bought her 2018 M3 in July 2018, I specifically asked if that program was still available.

I was told that the 1-Day M School was available with the Driver's Package option and I told her that I knew about that and that we didn't purchase that package. She also said that they have a "Return Package" for previous participants at a reduced rate. I didn't even bother to ask about that because my wife and I have both taken the 1-Day M School at Performance Center West and the 2-Day M School at Performance Center East. I'm not really interested again unless there was a significant discount, i.e, free or an $895 credit.

I told her that I got a voucher in 2016 and asked if that changed and when. She said that sometime in early/mid 2018 that requirement changed to buying two "performance BMWs" in two consecutive years. We did Euro Delivery on my wife's M3 in July 2018.

So apparently it's not enough to buy two M cars two years apart, you have to buy/lease one every year...
