Exclamation 2015 BMW M3 and BMW M4 Price: $62,000 and $64,200

BIMMERPOST NEWS
2015 M3 and M4 Pricing Confirmed: $62,00 and $64,200

COMMENTS

We've just learned the base pricing for the 2015 M3 (F80) and M4 (F82)!

2015 M3: $62,000
2015 M4: $64,200

These prices do not include the $925 destination/handling currently (always subject to change).

Added (in response to a member's question): Manual transmission is standard and included in base price. DCT will be add-on option.

This represents a not insignificant increase in base price for the M3 compared to the predecessor E90 M3, but keep in mind that it now comes equipped with a carbon fiber roof and factor in inflation since the last M3 sedan.

Not bad for all the additional Carbon Fiber bits on the M3.

less than I expected. I hope this speaks to the savings from the new drivetrain and commonality of parts and not performance vs. competition

While many will complain, that really is quite impressive considering what one is getting.

Sure, and M3/M4 costs more in absolute dollars than it did 3 generations ago (maybe even more in relative dollars, but not that much more) but the quality of car is ridiculous now. Compared to any other car.....I just don't see more bang for the buck (or pound, euro, yen, etc) when it comes to performance, etc.

I see you are in Canada. Don't get too excited with the numbers published here. In Canada, we will likely see prices 5-10% higher than this.

As previously posted by Jason:

Important M3/M4 Dates:

January 13: Press launch @ NAIAS
January 18-25: Public auto show debut dates @ Detroit
End of January-February: Pricing-Ordering Guides released
February: Dealers receive allocations and order bank opens for submission of customer orders (after Pricing-Ordering Guides is released)
March: Production begins for launch/demo cars
Late April: Production begins for customer cars
Late June: Customer deliveries and European Delivery begin

* These dates are of course subject to change, but we're getting pretty close to these dates, so they should not slide by far, if at all.

I think the starting prices are nice, but a decently loaded M3 will easily top $70K. I can't think of too many other 4 door sedans that match the performance off the top of my head besides the C63. They priced it right with the times and with the evolution of the car. Sadly, $70K is a huge difference from 10 years ago where and E46 M3 would've cost $55K and this reduces the amount of potential customers that'd like to acquire the M3/M4.
