I think BMW will run MY2018 from July 2017 through end of production. It doesn't make much sense to run MY2019 from July 2018 through October 2018.

The next generation M3 won't be out until 2020 at the earliest.

I would imagine that would be the reason for them to run a 2019 MY since there is almost always a gap between generation release and M car.

There will not be an M3 for sale after October 2018 until the next generation M3 launches.

Yeah that makes sense, I wonder what the future has in store for the next gen M3 and M4.

Huh? I owned from new a MY2008 M3. Bought off the lot from dealer in San Rafael, CA. Production date May 1, 2008. I checked my retail sales contract and a copy of the CA title - both say 2008 M3.

I believe the production ended towards the later part of 2011 as many refer to their E90 cars as 2011.75

Original production of the E9X platform commenced in July 2007 for MY2008
