Trying to figure out how a M4 with a 3.23.2017 production date is listed as a 2018 M4? I'll be the first to admit I haven't kept up with the F82 intricacies as opposed to the F80/F30.
Thought at 7.01 was usually the MY change date in USA Last edited by IK6SPEED; 02-07-2020 at 02:41 PM.. |

Some vehicle's model year begins production as early as March of the prior year.
For instance, the M2C below is a 2020 MY but built 03/2019. WBS2U7C04L7D65063 |

It gets even more confusing for the M2, where some Pre-LCI 2017 MY built after 03/2017 had LCI features, such as Adaptive LEDs for free, even though it wasn't sanctioned for the Pre-LCI vehicles.
Then with the 2015 F22/F23 2-Series built after 03/2015 had the new iDrive 4 EVO and interior trim, which was only suppose to be on the 2016 MY and above.. It seems like March/___ is a soft Model Year changeover, for certain periods. |
