@F8SEVEN every single bit of that trip looks amazing. I have to give you credit for the presence of mind to capture that hyena-looking thing mid-shit

I'd done one of the LR Experiences in the English countryside, not even thinking to check out what else they offer. Thrilling to see this kind of all inclusive lux safari deal actually be a thing

most likely the GT4 RS will still have the 'cayman complex' so it doesn't step on big brothers toes.

if they gave it the GT3 engine it would outperform the GT3 and probably the RS as well. better engine placement and 200 pounds lighter. I dont think the GT3s double wishbone suspension is going to make up for that.

A decisive win for the CT5-V Blackwing. Swan song before Cadillac goes all electric.

Ha, thanks! Black backed jackal is what it was…look closer at the elephant…he's taking care of business too! It was a blast and they're offering more in the future I believe. They do the snow stuff in Sweden like BMW and are going to soon be doing Scotland and Moab. Also plans for more parts of Africa…can't wait for Botswana!

Ice driving...drifting in M cars on the frozen lakes. I did it in early 2020...broke my collarbone, 4 ribs and collapsed a lung on the optional snowmobile tour. Spent 8 days in hospital. The snowmobile side tour is no longer offered.

This video is pretty good. Some of what Cammisa says kinda... applies to our situation. Watch you'll pick up on what I mean.

Also, Glovis Sun, the ship carrying my GT4 docked this morning at San Diego.

Agreed no way its getting the GT3 motor.

I should have taken allocation on a GT4 in January when they were plentiful at MSRP, now a regular GT4 is $25k over if you can even get a buildable allocation and forget about GT4RS…..

My dealer offered me 911 GTS at MSRP, i would be 3rd in line. Still have a deposit on GT3 but i have better chance of winning lottery unless i pay significant ADM.

Great video and funky car too, never realized there was so much history behind the SZ. I saw one back a few years ago and man is it definitely one strange looking thing in person

I would take the GT3 if and only if the ADM is reasonable and if your dealership is able to keep its promise (if you trust them).

While the 911 GTS is extremely good, we can compare it kind of like a M340i to a M3. Just... 911 cars are, you know... way above that lol.

I'll point out, I still really dislike the shifter in the regular 992. I... just don't like the dumb shifter thing. That alone is enough for me to aim for the GT3 lol

Are you referring to the 6MT shifter?

I just built out a GT3 in the event my dealer offers to buy back my car at some point (…and offered me a GT3 at MSRP). My build came out to $215,000. If I were able to pocket $50-60k on the sale and manage to save the equivalent of the C2S' payment over the duration of 12-14 months (…typical GT3 wait time(s)), I could make the GT3 work under those circumstances since I would be left with an amount that's on par with the MSRP of my C2S.

No the PDK shifter.

It is just a dumb mini USB shifter thing in the regular 992. I like the manual one, as the PDK one in the 992 mimics the manual looks for the PDK. AP mentioned in a video, he likes holding the shifter (I do too), so they did that for the GT3.

The dealer i work with is very high volume and they sell at MSRP even for GT cars.
I been on wait list for about a year now with submitted order, the issue is that they have received much less allocations than what they projected. Therefore chances of me getting a car is not good. I would pay $10-15k over at this point.

I agree the GTS is not is not as special as GT3 and i also HATE the PDK shifter. I also prefer the interior of my 991.2 with analog gauges and real buttons. My thinking is that in reality we only have a few years left of new ICE cars before they get fully banned or just get neutered for emissions compliance. The GTS is an incredible machine and i think probably the best sports car at under $150k, although my build is more 🥲

I would love to know which dealer sells GT cars at MSRP. Sharing is caring. I would do a no-option or minimally optioned (..$172k MSRP) 6MT GT3 Touring in a heartbeat.

That actually makes perfect sense. With the way Porsche does it, the GT3 and GT4 literally need to stay within their racing class/regulations.

That's been the thing everyone harps on Porsche for.

Remember, despite everyone's complaint about tall gearing (even though it's common for track purpose cars), Porsche's GT division choose not to rework the manual in the GT4 and Spyder. They even mentioned they didn't because of cost reasons.
