Sound Dropping Out

Had my M4 comp for around 4 weeks and I’m loving the car.Ive found recently when listening to DAB radio the sound will drop out for a second or so then come back on and sometimes it sounds as though the sound has changed.

Is this a common problem and is there anything in the idrive settings that can solve this?

No idea but it only does it when listening to DAB stations.

Not in the UK, but is the station using HD vs SD audio?

Here in the states, some stations broadcast both HD an SD audio simultaneously. When the radio switches between them, there will be a definite difference in sound/audio quality.

Not that I know of, the radio switches by itself.

There may be an indicator on the iDrive screen when HD audio is active. I can't remember offhand if there is though.
