Century West in Southern California. There's a market here in SoCal because L.A. is the city of spoiled rich kids that have money to burn. My local dealership has a M2 for $75k and a GTS for $240.

I actually I think the mint doesn't look that bad on an M3... It certainly is different. I do like that Daytona Violet M4 in the background.

Seriously though... The prices at that dealer are a joke. I can't believe there are idiots out there will to pay this much M cars. They've got 5 M2s on their website listed for around $100K and the $234,200 GTS others pointed out... Actually on their website the GTS is now listed at $209,200. Wow, it must be on sale! What a bargain!... WTF... I love BMWs but if I had $200K to spend on a car, I would not be buying a BMW.

Because I owned the last Mint Green M3 that came out, I will weigh in on this one.

1) You can't really buy this for the rarity of the color. They are not ending production, and anyone can still go out and order this car. You will not be purchasing a 1 of 1 vehicle by purchasing this M3.

2) The ladies LOVE this color. I don't care what anyone else in this thread says. I am balding, fat, and married, and girls would still hit on me and check me out when I drove this car. I am actually going to use that as a mark against the car for me, but it could be good for you (if you are the kinda guy that needs a car to get girls).

3) You will always always always be answering the question "yes its not a wrap, it came from the factory this way." "Yes I paid $7500 to change the color of paint."

4) No, BMW could not provide me with touchup paint no matter how many times I tried ordering it.

5) It is a really fun color to have and it does grow on you. The people who usually tell you how horrible it is, have low self esteems and buy white, black or silver cars because they don't like to be criticized. I am a fan of green cars, I LOVE Almond Green Aston Martins. I wanted something different, and as a fan of green cars, this fit the bill for me, but its not for everyone. I also like X6M's a lot, and most people hate them. I don't mind driving a car that other people are scared to own. Saying you "couldn't be paid enough to drive a car," really just means you let the opinions of others rule your life. If you will pay me to drive any car in any color, I would probably do it. You would be silly not to take a free car and be paid to use it, wouldn't you?

So my opinion of this M3? It looks great, but go order one exactly how YOU want it. You could drive a mint GREEN M3 in the 70k range. This is not the only one they will build. Also the quality of the paint is higher than the standard factory colors. Much less orange peel on individual colors I have noticed.

No matter what, the car is an extension of you. It is ok to be different. Just make sure its what YOU like.

There are some colors that nothing should ever be painted. This is one of them.

Reminds me of the color the cinder block walls were painted in the local schools back in the 70's. Like the bathrooms, the gym locker rooms, the hallways.

Friends don't let enemies drive cars painted this color.
