Kind of a weird aside, but car related. Anybody know if in the US they finally changed the rules on requiring reflectors on cars? My 24 Z06 has none front or back, but my 23 BW does. Tried google searching it and got nothing concrete back.

That’s a great question. I haven’t seen any legislation about reflectors come through out traffic department. |

Fugly M3, just saw the rear red reflectors are integrated into the stop lights on the right/left side.
Sorry everyone, just getting old and apparently blind. Nothing to see here, move along….. |

That is a keeper. They won't be building them like that in the future. |

I truly feel like it’s the latter under all but the most compelling of circumstances. I suppose if you’re stranded on the darkest of dark roads with a fully drained battery……thus, no hazards……reflectors could be useful. On the other hand, in that exact same scenario, and under certain circumstances, reflectors wouldn’t stop a collision from occurring.

Ok troops, I need some trailblazer advice. So, the GT3 Touring grille & badge and the GT3 RS door strap assemblies with GT Silver straps are en route. As it pertains to the badge that accompanies the grille (..see attached photographs), how do you guys suggest I go about removing the “GT3 Touring” off of the black plate itself? From the looks of the underside, it doesn’t seem as though there is any way to access any attachment clips or prongs from the bottom, leading me to believe the lettering might be attached via glue or some other adhesive (..like the other badging on the car). I doubt the lettering is part of a mold, but I could be wrong. Any ideas?

hmmm i agree its probably held on with some type of glue. any way to get floss or fishing line behind the lettering?
im guessing a good machine shop could copy that plate exactly out of billet aluminum and do something custom for you?

Sorry, no help on the emblem except for what Humdizzle said, floss/fishing line and maybe some heat from a hair dryer to loosen the glue up. |

I’ll be able to answer the fishing line inquiry once I have the part in hand. Do you guys know how much 3D printing a piece would cost?

I hit up Andrew at Stradale and I’m awaiting his price estimate. After all, he just 3D printed an entire body kit for his Porsche. Fabricating the small part I need will be easy. |

Tried to order a part that is Manthey Racing piece but it wasn’t able to be done even though it said it can be. You know the event around the front wheel area? Manthey makes a CF version of it you can order, trying to get it.
